Watching Tech beat up on the ‘Dores then heading over to a local Birmingham brewery to celebrate while watching ‘Cuse vs Cougs sounds like a splendid way to spend the Friday after Christmas
Agree that we got the short end of the stick (shocker), but taking the glass half full approach:
1. OU has a much bigger fanbase than Vandy but not convinced they’d fly to Birmingham 2 days after Christmas to watch their 6-6 team play. Nashville OTOH is an easy 2.5 hour drive, and Vandy is in...
2 things can be true at the same time:
1. It’s legitimate to gripe that Duke got a MUCH better bowl game than us (opponent and location) when we had the same conference record, we beat them H2H, and we very likely would travel better as a fan base
2. We ultimately really only have ourselves...
Tbf when you compare that to what Beck had done in the first half (and really all year), it does look pretty good.
uga went 11-2 and won the SEC in spite of Beck, not because of him. Could argue the same for Ewers and Texas and that Arch could/would take them further.
Interesting. Brett McMurphy (who I trust the most on these) has us vs. Oklahoma in Birmingham. Wouldn’t be terrible.

That was shocking after Wisner ran it down A&M’s throat last week and we did the same to uga (and UMass the week before for that matter). CFB is weird. I think Texas would’ve benefited from having a larger Arch Manning package where they used him in RPO’s like we did King. Maybe the 3rd time...
SMU and Clemson could have the best half of CFB all year with Clemson pulling out an epic 45-42 win and the committee will still slide SMU back behind Bama. Would love to be proven wrong but I have no faith in them
CFP rankings show starts at noon ET. They’ll probably spend an hour gabbing before getting thru all the rankings, then bowl matchups can start being finalized. I’d bet we’ll find out between 2-3 where we’re heading
Yeah, I get it's a beauty contest anyways and there's no strict pecking order, but it is annoying that Duke (and other teams, but they're the best example) are likely headed for a more desirable bowl than us because they padded their nonconference schedule with 4 easy wins to go along with a...
I was pretty perplexed by the uniform combos this year:
No gold jerseys after wearing them a ton last year (maybe Adidas has been working on a new one for next year that will match the gold helmets better?? One can hope..)
White helmets seemingly changed every week - 2023 version is still my...
8 wins minimum, 9 is the expectation, 10 is very possible if we avoid the injury bug better than this year. Would like to see us get to the “win big” stage vs our lesser ACC opponents. Who knows who it’ll wind up being, but there should be at least 2 or 3 of them on our ACC schedule. Breaking...
Hopefully our resident NE teams (Cuse, Pitt) can take the baseball stadium games in NYC and Boston. SMU and Miami to playoff, Clemson to Pop Tarts, Duke to Sun, Louisville to Mayo, us to Gator, the rest of the 6-6 teams to the lower tiers
Shoot imagine being a senior student at uga. In 4 years you have experienced:
- 31-0 at home
- 16-0 against top 4 rivals (us, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee)
- 2 natties
I cannot comprehend what it must be like to go on a run like that. Ef ‘em
