lot of people thinking Washington since he's from the West Coast, they have an opening, and the Washington coach had an established recruiting relationship with him as a high school recruit
Word was they were blindsided by the fsu change and there was controversy on what bowl notre dame was able to be selected to and now the ND AD is pissed off because they wanted a different bowl than the sun bowl. Word is also no one wanted Louisville
To add to this there were 2 major bowl...
FSU is dumb if the end up beating Georgia and don’t declare a split national title. As much as people laugh at UCF it’s something that exists in this sport and I think fsu would be completely justified to spin it in their favor. They’re all mythical titles anyway
I kind of feel like Troy deserves better than facing a 6-6 team after going 11-2 and winning their conference. Meanwhile I'm just happy we're in a bowl game after the slog of the last 4 years
The problem with trying to figure out the committee's logic is that their logic isn't consistent on a team to team evaluation basis and they've shown this repeatedly over the years. Earlier this year they said Michigan was behind Ohio State because Ohio State had better wins. But then Michigan...
yeah I agree which means it would come down to georgia and ohio state and idk which one they would pick but I feel like the committee would probably put in georgia so they're technically not 100% out. just like ≥ 99.99% out. it wouldn't be the biggest upset in CFB history but I wouldn't bet on it
Things could get super duper weird if Iowa somehow beat Michigan and FSU lost which could maybe... open the door for georgia because I'm not really sure what would happen at that point. You'd have to pick between 12-1 georgia, 12-1 michigan, and 11-1 OSU
it's Iowa though so they would have to...
I agree. People keep arguing "deserving" vs. "best" when it comes to FSU. At some point the results on the field have to matter or else lets just skip the season and put the top 4 recruiting classes in the playoffs cause they're the "best"
I mean they unironically got hosed by the refs in the 2nd quarter leading to that bama td but refereeing in sports in general is just so bad you have to live with it unless there's a radical change. oh well. I woul dbe pissed in their position too but thats just the way it goes.
Yeah no matter the city, weather, etc watching football in a baseball stadium is just a poor viewing experience. Wouldn’t want us to play in Truist either
