  4. Name and Likeness Law Signed by Kemp

So just have a draft and tell kids where they have to go to school. Better yet drop college sports altogether and adopt the UK/Euro model where you’re either a pro by the time you’re 15-17 with no real prospects for an education or you go to college and play basically rec sports. Makes it easy...
  5. Name and Likeness Law Signed by Kemp

It’s not radical it’s ridiculous. Just to take your proposal seriously for an second, which ranking service would you use? Is it their ranking when they commit or when they sign? Would someone pay for every recruit to go to camps so people can rank them? What about transfers, do they count and...

I agree. I’m not being negative about Mays, just feel Gibbs has the ability and tools to be one of our best ever. I loved Jerry and would put him in a group just below ELI in terms of his career.
  13. Time to Bury the Asterisk?

The comments were not incorrect but the inference that they should suddenly be able to switch over and be competent in a style they weren’t recruited to play…and in many cases would not have been recruited to play is what was ridiculous. No QB, few linemen of the size required, WR who were...
  14. Article Says BEST CASE Scenario Is 5-7

Just to jump back in, my comments had nothing to do with stats…it’s my view based on the eye test. I simply think Gibbs can do things on the field Jerry couldn’t
  15. Article Says BEST CASE Scenario Is 5-7

Some of that is simply looking at the 1989 team in hindsight. We had just as many questions going into that season as we do now. And as much as I loved Jerry Mays he was not as good as J Gibbs.
  16. Time to Bury the Asterisk?

No such thing as an asterisk anyway. The rest of your post is ridiculous.
  17. Coach K to Retire After Next Season

He can be very cordial. I worked at Duke early in his tenure and met him socially and in a work context. I stand by what I said.
  18. Coach K to Retire After Next Season

    Lie or opinion? Weak example.
  20. Article Says BEST CASE Scenario Is 5-7

That was due to his pro mindset of playing field position and winning with a FG. He had better talent that showed because he held us back with his approach.
