    Singleton to Portal

Yeah, as much as it hurts seeing him leave, $1M is a lot of money. It’s enough that even if he doesn’t make the pros, he could go back and get another degree on his own dime if he feels like it’s what he needs. That’s one aspect of NIL that I hadn’t considered: it lessens the value of the...

I could also see Zion Taylor taking some of those snaps. When we first signed him, there was a lot of buzz about his speed.

    New Contract for Key

Absolutely deserved! He’s been improving our football program from the minute he took over as interim head coach.

2025 Transfer Portal: Who do we need to target this offseason?

That guy is enormous! Any chance he’d consider switching to nose tackle? If he has the muscles to go with that frame, he could be a game wrecker on the defensive line!

    GT at uGA Post Game

Now that I’ve had a bit of time to process the loss, here are some of my thoughts: A lot of people have compared this game to the Falcons Superbowl choke. As far as emotional impact, this game feels to me like the Seahawks-Patriots Superbowl. It hurts like hell, and there’s so many what-if...

Key on 680 The Fan Today

That may be a blessing in disguise. I think having Bobby Dodd overtaken by opposing fans messes with the players’ heads. They’re used to Bobby Dodd granting home field advantage. When it does the opposite, I think the subconscious starts sending signals of “Something is wrong here” throughout...

Key on 680 The Fan Today

If we get rid of conference refs, every ref will be an $EC ref. The better way to handle this is to have conference refs officiate games within the conference and have third party refs officiate inter-conference games. COFH likely has a different outcome if Big Ten refs officiate it.

This absolutely does happen in the NFL. The year the LA Rams won the Super Bowl with Stafford, they were constantly bailed out by the refs because the NFL had to make sure that the move to LA paid off and that they were driving interest in their shiny new market.

Transfer Portal: Who do we need to target this offseason?

Does he play nose? I thought he mainly lined up in the B-gap.

Transfer Portal: Who do we need to target this offseason?

What we really need is at least one nose tackle, preferably two. With Biggers and Gore being out of eligibility, that only leaves Lockett at that position, and given how physical and contact-heavy the position is, we will want to be able to rotate players to prevent injury.

Agreed. Our fans got burned repeatedly by the previous coaching staff. It takes time to rebuild that trust, and Coach Key is doing the right things to restore confidence in the team.

Why would Indiana play Ohio State when Oregon is still undefeated and just has to beat Washington to stay that way?

Watching the u[sic]ga Ole Miss game, I really wish they hadn’t poached Jared Ivey from us. He would have been a force under Santucci!

I finally saw Mackenny getting a decent number of snaps. I think that helped the OL. I’ve been surprised all year that I’ve barely seen our former Freshman All-American tackle play.

another optimistic rant for those losing hope...

My biggest shock has been the performance of the OL. By the end of last year, they were executing with precision and power, pushing around some very talented fronts. This year, I’ve seen some pretty egregious whiffs that have cost us drives. The only new starter should be Rutledge. How did an OL...

    Favorite GT-VT memory

Strangely enough, my favorite memory of this rivalry was watching the 2014 game on TV from campus. Up to that point, all I had experienced in the rivalry was Frank Beamer and Bud Foster finding new and ridiculous ways to beat CPJ in heartbreaking fashion. After close wins over Tulane and Georgia...
