Tennessee played not to lose and lkost imagine that.
Minor nit…New CFP forecast:
SEC
Although it isn't likely, the SEC could have six teams tied for 1st place after the A&M/Texas game.
LSU & Missouri are no longer part of the discussion. Yet, when uga was down yesterday the ESPN commentators were making the case for a 3-loss uga being in the playoffs. I don't see it if one of their llosses is to GT. We can give the uga players an opportunity to visit their families for the holidays.
B1G
Nothing changed this weekend, but Indiana will play Ohio St next Saturday. Unless it's a blowout I don't think it's an elimination game.
B12
The B12 suddenly got interesting. AZ St is now in the mix. Imagine the Sun Devils winning the B12? Could the B12 be left out of the CFP?
ACC
No changes here as Clemson and SMU squeaked through yesterday. It wasn't pretty, but they won.
ND and Boise continue to win. Army doesn't have to beat ND next weekend. Just play a close game.
The Big 12 won't be left out this year. They may not host a home game but one of there teams will be in the CFP.Minor nit…
Either Texas or aTm will be in first place. Five others will tie for second.
I think there will be a push for five SEC teams this year, but the committee has almost certainly locked 4 BIG teams already.
Big 12 situation is wild. It would be crazy to see two G5 champs in the first version of this thing, but it looks like could happen…
Texas will be favored at home against Kentucky and A&M also at Auburn. But it's possible for one them to lose there and win later when they meet. That would give both two losses. uga has finished their SEC games. Tennessee has to play Vandy and Bama has to travel to Norman to play the Sooners before hosting Auburn the following week. Ole Miss has to play at Florida and at home against Miss St.Minor nit…

Got it… yes, you’re correct. those upsets could make total chaos and I didn’t read that into your post.Texas will be favored at home against Kentucky and A&M also at Auburn. While it is not likely, there could be six teams tied with two losses.
Agree that one will probably be in the CFP. But the BYU loss could push them out of the top 12-15. It is still very possible for unranked AZ State to win the B12. If Army plays ND a close game, then wins out they could be conference champs and ranked higher than AZ St.The Big 12 won't be left out this year. Don't forget about Colorado. They are 8-2 and playing well. They also get the eion" boost. They have at Kansas and OK St at home left. Win those 2 and they are in the Big 12 Championship game.Agree that one will probably be in the CFP. But the BYU loss could push them out of the top 12-15. Why would Indiana play Ohio State when Oregon is still undefeated and just has to beat Washington to stay that way?New CFP forecast:

Because it’s on the schedule next week. Why would Indiana play Ohio State when Oregon is still undefeated and just has to beat Washington to stay that way?
Regular season game next Saturday. Indiana has Ohio State and Purdue left in the regular season. Why would Indiana play Ohio State when Oregon is still undefeated and just has to beat Washington to stay that way?
Yeah. There was a “shady” line on a 3-6 or 4-6 Kansas team against BYU in Provo. Was just -3 for BYU. Kansas won outright. After 20+ years, I’ve learned to abstain from what I call ‘shady’ lines.
TAMU is favored by 2.5 points at Auburn. That’s a shady line IMO. It screams bet me on TAMU. I would not be in the least bit surprised to see Auburn pull this out.
(In contrast, Texas is favored by 20 over Kentucky which sounds about right)
