Clem or Miami will go gatoring, IMPO. The stage is set for the shutout of the ACC.
As it is, both Boise (#10) and AZ State (#12) are above all ACC teams but SMU (#8). Miami (#14) is now out since they cannot improve their lot. If Clem (#18) beats SMU, they are now too far down to pass either...
Again, that’s a flag, not a non-call. But to answer, some things are unavoidable and have to be called. That was pretty obvious. Plus, certain calls are made by certain officials and not others. Maybe not all were biased, or paid.
It was, until UGAg got close enough to win, then the bias stepped in.
Nobody such influencer wants to blow his cover. That’s why non-calls are preferable to calls. It’s a no footprint bias.
Plus, it’s 4th quarter. If that player gets tossed he misses the first 3 quarters of the SEC CG as well. They didn’t want to see targeting, so they didn’t look.

Not calling a PF on the spearing of HK...
They were clearly helping UGAg once they clawed their way back into the game. You cannot convince me those refs let all those things go because they missed them.
That said, we still should have won the game.
Philo may have ice water in his veins, but you don't find out in a rivalry game in an extremely hostile environment with the game on the line. King was magnificent Friday night. At the end he was exhausted, as were all the players on both sides, but he simple turned in probably the best...
Yes, it was a horrible non-call (the targeting). The PI and the hold were bad, too.
However, we had at least 3 chances to win that game after those all occurred.
Were those non-calls/calls consequential? Absolutely.
Did they lose us the game? Not really. We lost it by failing to attempt or...
