Screw job part 2: Bowl selection

Clem or Miami will go gatoring, IMPO. The stage is set for the shutout of the ACC. As it is, both Boise (#10) and AZ State (#12) are above all ACC teams but SMU (#8). Miami (#14) is now out since they cannot improve their lot. If Clem (#18) beats SMU, they are now too far down to pass either...

    GT at uGA Post Game

I agree with this. One especially. Again, the bigger issues are the non-calls, the non-reviews, etc.

Again, that’s a flag, not a non-call. But to answer, some things are unavoidable and have to be called. That was pretty obvious. Plus, certain calls are made by certain officials and not others. Maybe not all were biased, or paid.

It was, until UGAg got close enough to win, then the bias stepped in. Nobody such influencer wants to blow his cover. That’s why non-calls are preferable to calls. It’s a no footprint bias.

    Is this targeting?

Plus, it’s 4th quarter. If that player gets tossed he misses the first 3 quarters of the SEC CG as well. They didn’t want to see targeting, so they didn’t look.

A non-call does not result in a flag. You are free to disagree. No need to apologize. I do realize that incompetence is more prevalent than fraudulence, but fraudulence certainly occurs. When it happens regularly in a certain direction, it leads to perceptions of bias. The system of openly...

We just got kicked out of the stadium

LOL. This guy is on ignore. I don’t think he’s hit 13 years old yet.

I would submit that refs can do more “damage” through non-calls than calls. Making a call is a second level action. The PI on 4th down is such a call. UGA would have lost had that flag not been tossed. It gave UGAg another chance when they had blown it. Not calling a PF on the spearing of HK...

    Haynes MF King

I can only hope you’re right.

They were clearly helping UGAg once they clawed their way back into the game. You cannot convince me those refs let all those things go because they missed them. That said, we still should have won the game.

Silver Lining: Philo redshirt in tact

Philo may have ice water in his veins, but you don't find out in a rivalry game in an extremely hostile environment with the game on the line. King was magnificent Friday night. At the end he was exhausted, as were all the players on both sides, but he simple turned in probably the best...

If in doubt, screw the ACC.

    Is this targeting?

Yes, it was a horrible non-call (the targeting). The PI and the hold were bad, too. However, we had at least 3 chances to win that game after those all occurred. Were those non-calls/calls consequential? Absolutely. Did they lose us the game? Not really. We lost it by failing to attempt or...

Transfer Portal: Who do we need to target this offseason?

Sure, but he’ll be in the conversation early. We’ll play: Colorado Gardner-Webb Temple BC Dook Clemson Pitt Cuse VPI NCSU WFU UGAg A much easier schedule than this season.

    Brent Key appreciation post

As a player. As a coach, once with UCF and, I think, 3x with Alabama. So 4+3=7 times.

If Haynes King returns he’s a preseason frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy.
