Ga Southern is the only one I remember that fits that.

Chan left us with the 2007 recruiting class. We're not there yet. And we're much further down vs Clemson than at any time in our school's history right now. Miami still mostly has our number the past 11 years. We own VPI though.

you're right - I should've said "over by end of 3rd qtr". That was the only game I had to listen to on radio thus my confusion on recall. We really got stuffed the whole game though. Our D is the only reason that game was close late in the 3rd.

I agree with all that esp. the part about beating 'em for recruits. Ultimately, Mack will help water down Duke too.

I don't see Duke as a program that should beat us badly 4 out of 5 years running. Even the mutts haven't done that. I bet the new staff agrees. I bet the old staff does too.

Sadly, we can only go up in regards to playing Duke. I've been sweating bullets for the past 5 years though not so much in 2018, as that game was over by halftime.

In almost every game the past 2 years, if your guess was "TQM is gonna take the snap, run down the line, keep it and try to run upfield", you'd be right about 50% of the time. While VPI and Louisville certainly didn't stop us (they didn't stop anyone), Duke, Miami, Pitt and the 2 elite teams...

better passing stats, just due to getting more attempts. Probably same amount of wins. Guy was a baller and an on-field leader, something we've lacked the past 2 years IMO. That's the kind of thing that's hard to coach. A kid's either got it or not. JT5 had it.

too few passing attempts for that stat to matter. The Rushing stats are absolutely a reflection of how effectively we ran the ball, given the sheer volume of them.

Well, when you'e 2nd in the nation in Rushing Attempts (again), you better be at least top 3 Total Rush Yards. We weren't top-10 in Yards/Rush though. And once again, we were in the bottom-3 in passing attempts. I'm looking forward to a balanced offense with less predictability.

I guess it depends on who was modding. I saw people getting banned for criticism of PJ during my time there. And every postgame thread was "No ranting!". What's the point of such a thread except for 1-sided echo chamber discussion?

no idea. I do remember taking forever to score vs Duke when we were down 21 pts in the 4th qtr last year though. Zero urgency, zero real attempts to move the ball quickly. Mind boggling.
