I was fortunate enough to go to a few practices before the season started. I just didn’t see anything out of Puma. It was so confusing to me since you would see flashes of solid play while he was at Clemson. There’s a reason why it took him 6 months to find a team when he was in the transfer...
My vote is for Dan Mullen after reading some things and doing my own research. He fits a lot of the criteria’s that tech is putting out there for HC candidates.
The coaching staff was going to put Sims in the game after Pyron got hurt. Sims wouldn’t go into the game when the coaches asked him too. I’ve even heard from a friend that sits in the family section that Jeff’s dad went down to the first row and called Jeff over and told him to go into the...
Based off what I’ve heard and being told Pyron’s Collarbone is broken in 3 places, I think you’re looking at spring ball as a window for him returning to football activities. Lots of rehab would be required and easing him back into things, especially the weight room.
I’ve heard some different things so I’m not too comfortable throwing out information that isn’t stable. I think it would be beneficial to Tech and Sims if he transferred, that’s just my opinion.
I’ve heard Pyron has a broken collarbone in 3 places. The coaching staff tried to get Jeff Sims to get in the game and play when Pyron went out and he refused to. I’ve been told don’t be surprised if Pumachahn gets snaps the next 2 weeks
You are correct. Everyone at Tech loves Key. He just lives and breathes a tech man. I think Long has been held back due to some of the O line injuries. Specifically 2 projected starters on Tchio and Quick being injured. You see the big improvement with a new OC in year 2. But from what I’ve been...
Based off what I’ve heard, I belief it is most likely Brent Key’s job if we go 6-6. He will still be a candidate if we finish 5-7. His plan that he will present to President Cabrera and J Batt will go a long way.
Key was the driving force in the hires for the offensive staff. The bucket for OC’s was small. It was either Godsey, Zach Kittley or Long. Godsey got a pay raise in Miami then the whole Miami staff got canned, Kittley chose going home to Texas tech so Long was the choice.
My standards of winning aren’t low. You have to look at context. You rarely see IHC’s win games during the season since most teams give up, quit on the season and just write the season away. That hasn’t happened with Key. Key has barely anytime during the week to change things and put his full...
I chose Key. I think Key could recruit at a top 30 level rankings wise and be consistent at it, kinda what we hoped out of Collins. Key would provide you a lot of ties to the Bama coaching tree that just extends everywhere across the country. That would go a long way in terms of filling out a...
