    HC Candidate/Rumors/Info Thread

Here's the things I'm looking for in a new potential HC: Recruiting ties where they really really succeed in 1 area or have ties in multiple areas Excel at running their system (if they are a current HC or Coordinator) Young up and coming type of guy. My preference is Garrett Riley, the...

I've heard his name linked to the Arizona state job. That's where I imagine he goes but he seems to love UTSA.

I think ole miss would be looking at bigger candidates. The buyout they would get from Auburn for Kiffin would be pretty substantial. They could probably pry away a current P5 head coach.

    HC Candidate/Rumors/Info Thread

Going to list HC candidates with their positives and negatives. Deion Sanders: Positives: Would bring a lot of needed good attention to the program when it needs it the most, would put fans back in the stands which is what tech needs desperately, Deion would attract lots of side walk fans...

Auburn will throw crazy money at Kiffin. They were semi close to getting him last go around. Kiffin would be paid insanely well at Auburn. I just want Kiffin to go to Auburn to see how him and the notorious auburn boosters mix together.

You sit there and wonder why it wasn’t obvious? Well you turn your head to who hired him, and it makes a lot more sense why it wasn’t obvious to them.

Collins was just weird with all people. Even if it was outside of the media, he was still weird to talk too. It’s almost like his mind was going 1000MPH in all different directions. He wanted all of the attention hence the 404, ATL, competition is king, money down, culture built on effort, etc...

The donors are the ones who pay buyouts to get coaches and whatnot. You’re wrong on the donors wanting CGC. Todd Stansbury ran the HC search all by himself. He went completely silent on everyone. Todd was very close to hiring WisenHunt but the night before the contract was going to be signed...

    HC Candidate/Rumors/Info Thread

Going to try and explain some key things that Dell McGee could bring to tech for the people who are confused on his name coming up. Staff: The staff McGee would form would be top of the ACC quality wise. He would bring over multiple UGA assistants with him. Names I’ve heard that would join a...

    HC Candidate/Rumors/Info Thread

Things I’ve heard: Wisconsin: Most likely to promote Jim Leonhard, Wisconsin didn’t want to lose him to another school so that played a big part in the firing of their HC. Nebraska: No clue, my memory might be foggy but I remember hearing a rumor that Leipoid might have turned an interview...

    HC Candidate/Rumors/Info Thread

Leipold isn’t looking to leave Kansas from what I’ve heard. If he does then it will be for a Midwest job. He’s a pretty big risk for any school located in the south since he has no ties to the south East.

Key lost the HC job today?

Our running backs aren’t weak, the offensive line gives them 0 help and makes them look horrible. You say the OL is bad but guess who that is because of! Brent Key! Key can’t even coach his position group, hasn’t developed a single OL and in 4 years here, his group hasn’t taken a single step...

I’ve also heard, that it’s being discussed to remove around 8,000-10,000 seats this off season from the current seating bowl. I don’t know if those areas will be repurposed but it’s a on going discussion right now within the GTAA.

UPDATED TO 3.5 M! AD Email - GEORGIA TECH LAUNCHES COMPETITIVE DRIVE INITIATIVE

J Batt has been on the job for 3 days and has already created a very very smart and engaging fundraising program. From my understanding, it’s being used as a “feeler” by starting a small amount asked for in donation totals. If the fundraising initiative is successful then larger goal amounts...

UPDATED TO 3.5 M! AD Email - GEORGIA TECH LAUNCHES COMPETITIVE DRIVE INITIATIVE

The one thing I keep hearing about Batt is how involved he is with the daily running of athletic programs unlike most AD’s. I know at Bama he was considered the head of operations over Basketball and Baseball. He’s the main reason why Nate Oats is the coach for basketball at bama, he led the...
