Another thing that bothered me is when players gave up on blocking. Until that whistle blows, FIND A GUY and block!

To be fair to our O-line, I don't believe they aren't built for sustained blocking. Ideally, they should only have to take down the dude across from them ONE time. After that, the ball should already have crossed the LOS. This past season, plays developed really slowly. Speed that up and I think...

I like Roof, but understand where you're coming from. We've seen one improved season defensively, but year 2 will be more telling. I do know the players really like him.

Those things about Vad were true! The guy was and is a talented athlete. Just didn't work out. Agree about "wait and see" but nothing wrong with getting excited about JT. Just look at FSU after EJ Manuel went to the NFL and some freshman named Jameis took over. Anything can happen.

If Vad was truely interested in learning the option, he would get better each year. JT will have growing pains but I think he's more committed to PJ's system. He'll do well, like TW but with more athleticism!

Agree that more time for PJ is a good thing. We assume there's a 1-2 year learning curve, but that could be an under-estimate

Sounds about right. The media consistently underrates GT and GT consistently beats those projections. That said, there are valid concerns about next year...
