  1. Hot seat

As in Penn State taking Vandy's "promising young coach" and Texas taking Louisville's coach. Good point Animal.
  2. GT vs ND

When looking at the stats for the game do not overlook Georges-Hunt and his 9 points and 6 assists with 3 boards. 6 assists = bunch of points.
  3. GT vs ND

Yeah, the 4 straight free throws! More proof that if you can't hit free throws you are a loser. Note that Stephens was in the game at the end of the first half and the end of the game. He is stepping up his game with Carter out.
  4. Anthony Williams dismissed

So he graduates in May. Does that mean he will transfer and play his final year somewhere else? Probably. Seems to be the thing to do these days.
  5. Bobinski on current state of the Football Program

Remember what the AD emphasized - he will not micromanage the football team - if he does he owns the team, and not Johnson. Johnson coaches the football team, not the AD. The AD is not going to hire, fire, call plays or design the offensive and defensive schemes. I would guess, guessing, not...
  6. Kiffin to Alabama as OC?

I believe Saban has proved that he has the ability to put together a solid coaching staff. If Kiffin is his guy, so be it.
  7. Hot seat

Interesting write up. "Malzahn and Swinney/Morris are running is just a different version of the triple-option!" I wonder if they really believe this?
  8. Freddie Burden cleared

So it will be Burden, O'Reilly and Muns battling for the starting Center position?
  9. Baseball Recruiting 2014 class

MWBATL - I agree on the lack of pitching depth. Hall usually has 3 pretty good starters but at tournament time the need is 5 pretty good starters. Recruiting or coaching? All of the above? I just do not know. Maybe you former baseball players can tune in and help us out.
  10. 2013 Year in Review

Year in review - this is a pretty good 6 1/2 minute highlight of the 2013 Jacket season. http://www.ramblinwreck.com/sports/m-footbl/geot-m-footbl-body.html#00
  11. Community Warnings

John I believe you guys are doing a nice job trying to keep this as a "Tech family" forum. I usually ignore those who start to get testy. And I ignore those who decide to try and out do "War and Peace" when it comes to number of words. I am not ego driven and do not tolerate it in others.
  12. Robert Carter has a meniscus tear

Per CBG Carter doubtful to return this season. Tough loss, real tough loss. http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/college/gregory-techs-carter-doubtful-to-return/ncfmN/
  13. GT v Duke tonight

Gotta find some way to get to the free throw line.
  14. GT v Duke tonight

Be interested in seeing if Stephens can continue his good play off the bench. He is playing out of position but is contributing.
  15. The Hill

In other words, academics are more important than athletics. Imagine that!
  16. How do we fix this nightmare....

Animal02 says above: "That is the message that should be drilled into Tech players. The thought that a player would think that the entire system should be turned on its ear to play the way he wants to play is absurd. The mistake made by CPJ was not benching Vad at the first sign that his head...
  17. How do we fix this nightmare....

After reading threads for the past several months on football I would say that the consensus is that the problem is not the offense but the defense and recruiting. The defense took a large step in the right direction this past season under Roof. Recruiting appears to have taken a large step in...
  18. Program has bigger problems

Salley addressed this issue years ago in a TV interview. His brothers and parents were far from poor. They bought the car.
  19. At Maryland

Georgia Tech opens Atlantic Coast Conference play Saturday with a 2 p.m. game against Maryland at the Comcast Center in College Park, Md. - which can be seen in Atlanta on WATL-TV. With Carter out, we are going to see just how long this season is going to be. Who will step up their game?
  20. Addressing the Vad Lee situation

Open up the passing game... Easy to say, hard to do. GT made an attempt to open up the passing game. Did not work for a few reasons. Requirements for a passing game: a QB that can read the defense, a QB who can steep up in the pocket and deliver the ball, WRs who can run pass patterns, OL...
