He is not going to be a coach here now. That ship has sailed. But you don't want to ban him from the stadium or anything like that. No Tech coach wants to start putting barriers between the program and past players - especially NBA players.
I can only hope/pray that the GT AA has hired the same level lawyers as Pastner has in all this nonsense. Maybe the same legal group that worked the UNC case. If we are still as idiotic as we were with the Bay Bay case we deserve what we get.
Duke is treating SYR like a high end AAU team playing a B team squad
No respect for their ability to handle the ball - lots of live ball turnovers and highlight dunks
In case you haven't read it - Pastner's view. We are close

The problem is it isn't a "free" market. As soon as you allow outside income every major state school will line up their alumni groups and major athletic donors to facilitate payments to athletes. Billy Bobb's Chevy dealer will co-ordinate with the Alabama FB team to rotate every player...
It was St Mary's - #34 by Net. You may be right but assuming UVA, Duke and UNC lose to each other (no Syracuse nonsense), that is a pretty stark difference as a last impression. :D
Don't confuse "no data" with "zero buyout". Doesn't pass the smell test that Capel signed a contract with Pitt that doesn't have a buyout for the rebuild he took over. Manning's contract details with Wake hasn't been disclosed (that I know of) and speculation has run rampant that he is fully...
It is hard to look at this season and especially how it ended (last month or so) and not have concerns about whether next year will be a step forward.
The upside is that our core will be another year older and hopefully another year stronger. That one fact is the jist of most optimism about...
I have said for years the best way into the Ivy League is through the athletic door. For most of those schools about 10% of the students are admitted as athletes and the coach has pretty wide academic leeway compared to the general student body. So I guess I shouldn’t be surprised someone is...
Nah - not those events. Its the events local colleges put on for team camp tournaments. Carved out a new week for access to HS talent but only at team events. Then carved out a week for the NBAPA to run a camp for the top 100 or so.
In reality I wonder if kids are going to get overlooked...
Just to make you happy :) the NCAA went about as far as they could to abolishing AAU. There are now only 2 weekends where D1 coaches can go watch AAU events - down from 5 last year. Not sure it is all good but the NCAA is trying to force D1 coaches back to HS events plus bringing in the NBA to...
3 possible/probable #1 seeds in the tourney is about as top heavy as it gets. Still getting 8 and maybe even 9 teams in. Not the best year ever but not sure it is "weak"
