  1. Tulane OL

Same surface for both teams. Same effect.
  2. If you're not going to the game this week, join us!

Sound like my daughter, she said "there is always room on my desert shelf".
  3. Coming to New Orleans?

Young but best since Paul Johnson has been here. Yes we like him and have a back up as good but different and not much game experience. Many of us feel this could be a special year. As always injuries play a huge part in team success and we will know more after Saturday. Thanks for your...
  4. 2015 Season

This year is a prep for next year. But let's get this one under our belt before the gnashing of teeth about next year. For believers, "all things work together for good"
  5. Tulane OL

Right on! Sugar or Orange Bowl; there only 4 major bowls at that time. Plus the gator bowl I believe. Was different time different era. I was being conservative in my difference in how much Bama was out weighed I too believe it was around 30. I had forgotten the quote of Bryant. Wasn't...
  6. Tulane OL

Our DL is not soft, just not deep and not big at DE
  7. If you're not going to the game this week, join us!

My mouth is watering. Who would have room for desert with those kinds of offerings.
  8. Tulane OL

One senior, one Jr starting, 1 junior in backup. 3 Fr in backup 2 of which are RS. . Not a lot of experience. I remember in the '60s, Bama destroyed Nebraska's big O line with a D line outweighed 20 plus per avg. IIRC. In highlights Tulsa was not best tackling or coverage team IMHO. TU is...
  9. Wofford Game Thoughts and Little Perspective

I too felt Tevin was very unappreciated. He did not have a strong arm unfortunately. If he had had JTs arm??? JN had a strong arm but no touch or a covey of receivers that could catch. Did Tevin ever miss a game after becoming a starter? I don't think he did. Shaw had to take over for JN...
  10. I Guess I Need a Lesson

I liked seeing that play and have been hoping that is another reason for Days to be at BB. Seems like Snoddy would good on that play but have to sneak him in so it is not telegraphed. Maybe use Snoddy on a wheel route or screen or a couple other type plays so the D still has to play...
  11. CPJ radio show tonight at 7

    Must have heard my post??
  12. CPJ radio show tonight at 7

    Injury report??
  13. Initial Impressions

AND Wofford beat GS last year. Though admittedly early in the year. But never the less beat them.
  14. Game Day

I would not call that lucky. Why was there no deep safety in case of such a play? Or a gamble deep pass.
  15. Scouting Tulane

We will learn quite a bit about team in that game. Being a road game is also apart of the learning curve when the rubber meets the road in Blacksburg.
  16. Usable Depth on D?

I agree and also who plays the scheme, shows football knowledge in game changing situations, Proper angles, proper techniques etc. In my freshman year in college I was back up OLB in our first game. Coach calls me over and points out the crack back block taking our Right OLB out the play...
  17. CPJ notes from Wednesday

I keep thinking that Days at BB will bring back some of the outside long runs of Dwyer and AA. I don't recall many if any of those plays with Lasky and Sims. I am hoping Perkins shows up as a Roddy Jones clone this year.
  18. Usable Depth on D?

That the basics of the game whether defensive battle or offensive one. Baylor and TAMU this year is going to be interesting and should be fun to watch.
  19. 1st. Offensive play against wofford

TO to right. JT pass on the run to Bostic and he is gone, TD.
