SHSU is up the road from me about 30 miles and Fritz is a good coach. He is more a concern than his players. GT can't run away playing sloppy as we did last week at NOLA but we have lots of horses also and team that will get it together Saturday. They have a goal and it is not to lose...
GS can put together an OL the size of Tulane with more experience, couple of seniors and couple of Jrs. Size is not the most important thing. I see this game as one that could be an upset only if we don't show up.
I hope they are tough so we can use it as a true tune up for Vpisu. I am...
Agree with what you said. Vad is a great young man, from what I could tell, of his involvement at Tech. I too wish him the best in football and more importantly in his future life as he grows into maturity and future responsibilities.
Where has football helped the academic side of a school? High school or college or university? Standards are compromised to allow admission of better players. How does this help academics? I am glad we have a competitive football and athletic program while maintaining our academic reputation...
Until someone can show me a coach, that can overcome the obstacles of the Institute and do better than CPJ and staff are doing, I am behind him (them) all the way. He came here to win a national championship. Will he be able to do it? I don't know, but as long as he thinks he can, I am behind...
Over all and depth wise maybe but looks like GS has some really good talent. I hope this is game we get it together from start to finish and is precursor for win in Blacksburg.

He is legit. Not quick as a runner but good passing presence.
Bud Foster knows how to D. The timing of the DBs of VT in hitting receivers is amazing. So often so close to interference. Also when they blitz it is all out fast and seem to find a seam. For VT to win before 107000 OSU...
We have a much better receiving corp this year also. IMO shorter with yards after catch is the game today and I am OK with it. We will get the long bombs also with JT; he has the arm. I hope our D can tackle and limit opponents YAC.
I hope CTR sees this.
How did the game get away from shoulder wrap up in the vicinity of the of the gut, thighs, hip tackling. Good blocking is similar, just can't wrap up.
The hawks practice WO out pads and work on proper angles etc. The video not using Oklahoma drills. Based on Rugby...
I agree but we need to get Byerly some playing time this weekend. Also need to get Kallon some playing time and see how he responds.
Is my imagination but did Tulane not look as well coached as Wofford?
Good point about the rule change that allows holding on the offense today. In that day your hands had to stay in and not extend. 50 sounds a little high but that was Orange bowl 1963 I think. Too long ago to remember accurately.
I never played on artificial. I didn't realize it varied much except wet or dry. I don't think they have been on it very much.
Is this a different type artificial than we have on our practice field?
