He shouldn’t play... one game vs an entire year of eligibility.

I suppose it's not impossible... but with Clemson and UGA on the schedule, it's going to be extremely hard to get to 9. Assuming we lose those 2, that leaves us going 9-1 with the rest of the schedule, and we still have some quality opponents left there. Not impossible, but probably not too...

I agree with your assessment... my point was mostly in saying he's the only AB returning with experience. It would be hard to say we've ever really had an AB that was our 'feature back'. Poor choice of words on my part I suppose.

We have Citadel, Temple and USF in non-conference next year, all early in the year. I'd expect at least 2 of 3 there and really should go 3-0 against those 3. I think we should beat UNC, and can certainly beat UVA. Miami and VT will be toss ups I think.. I know with the transition there...

Cottrell would have been our feature AB next year, but... I think he could prove very valuable as a scat back to change pace from the bigger BB's we'll use as RB's, and/or a slot receiver. His speed would be tough to deal with in the slot.

I'm guessing LJ will have a good spring practice and will be in the mix. I'd also guess Oliver might either move to another position or consider a transfer. I'm not up for annointing incoming freshman with a spot on the 2-deep, but it's not impossible.

I think Collins could be a great hire... I hope that the contract is structured in a way that he's not inclined to puddle jump to another job if he does well. My only real fear with him would be that he uses it as a stepping stone and we're looking for another coach in less than 4 years.

Count me among those that would like to see Collins... he's from Conyers GA, he's coached at high levels, won national assistant coach awards, and has had success in his early years at Temple. I think he'd be a great hire for where we are.

I live abroad most of the year and the bowl is one of the few games I have a realistic chance of attending. I was hoping for Nashville, Charlotte or even Birmingham for sake of travel... this is a tough pill to swallow.
