    ESPN mischief once again

Have you attended a ga @ Tech game recently? Largest concentration of aggressive a-holes I have ever seen on campus! Huge difference between the two. If you had said grads instead of fans, I might be inclined to agree with you for the most part (except the part where they use the Board of...

I think he was more referring to the talking out of their respective ***es than about unions.

    ESPN: RE-Ranking the top 300 recruits 2006-2013

No. He made the list. ESPN just misspelled it as Jadeveon Clowney. They also misspelled #30 Sean Bedford.

Olympians are allowed to be paid for use of their likeness. College Football players are not. The below is on a yearly basis from 2012. How much would Jameis Winston have been paid to endorse Visa, Nike, and others...? Now that I blew a hole in that argument, what other "countless" cases are...

    APU

Wait... What? The kids get NO benefits. That is that exact point of APU... What about the players cut against their will through injury? Many cannot afford college due to the cost. Do you think that they should not be able to graduate because they no longer can afford it? How very...

An award? With conditions attached? Sounds like an employment contract that changed the word employment to award in order to exploit a loophole to me. Your employer called and is changing your employment contract to an award with minimal conditions attached.

What difference does that make? The contracts are still one-sided and without negotiation from the player. The player got the Heisman as a true freshman and wants to renegotiate for more guaranteed years? The school will politely tell them to go eff themselves. The coaches have the ability to...

The current players had no representation nor bargaining power in crafting these contracts. I would argue that these contracts are examples of unconscientious dealings. The players have ZERO bargaining power and are given a take it or leave it contract (which is exactly what happens without...

Record when scoring 30+ 25+, and 20+ points

I wonder what this data looks like for the top quintile of offenses each year. There could be a 'rich get richer' effect and only the best offenses get better. Do we really care about the offenses that are in the bottom 80%?

Record when scoring 30+ 25+, and 20+ points

You are comparing our 1892 offense to our 2013 offense? You should normalize somehow; maybe use the average points scored each year to normalize the data. The early college football offenses would be pathetic if put on the field today.

    GT 2014 schedule

Good sched. Worst I see is the cluster of division games. Would be possible to lock up an ACCCG invite on Nov 1. Would require winning both @ VPISU and Miami... but our players should have rhythm and be close to injury-free in those games.

    Jeremy Pruitt to UGA?

http://www.tomahawknation.com/2014/1/15/5313252/rick-ballou-on-why-jeremy-pruitt-really-left-florida-state-for-georgia Sounds like JP was fooling around and his fiancee made him leave Tally. I guess she thinks that he won't do it again if they move?

    Early 2014 Coastal Prediction

Did you miss the ACC meeting? They enacted the FGT rule whereby every year until 2025, we must be away for at least one opponent that we were away in the previous year to balance the schedule out.

    Today's College Football & Athletes

I believe this was the official industry defense against putting seat belts in cars... Your argument is 1. You can't prevent ALL injuries 2. Therefore no point in trying to reduce injury frequency or severity. I can agree with you that some rules or poorly interpreted rules may cause more...

question regarding GT (vs Opponents) O formation

There are several things I dislike about the OP. Mainly that you are using QB/AB/BB numbers to argue that the O-Line needs more `ships... without even researching the O-line numbers. Why not just compare the O-Line numbers? :banghead:

Paul Johnson: #9 Most Powerful Coach in CFB

I'd bet that over the next decade it will be revealed that effectively every NFL player is suffering from some amount of brain damage. If we are talking only risk of death then, you are correct and that fire fighters have a higher risk of death. If we include the risks of brain damage...
