Maybe there isn’t a “Best Four” this year.
I think Louisville proved they are as good as most teams in the country and they didn’t get in. Except for some flukes, bad penalty calls and miracle finishes, a lot of teams would have a similar record to Louisville. The only head to head contests...
Everyone realizes, do they not, that is mathematically possible for Tech to not make a bowl now, right?
Don’t get me wrong, I fully expect Tech to get a bowl, but it would be typical Tech luck to get squeezed out now that all ACC teams have been down shifted.
So much about this is enraging. The world is fallen and corrupt, and everything is political and venal, but sports is where I look for some respite.
Crap it all.
I’ve always wondered why our teams don’t stand up for each other like the SEC does. While we make petty grievances against each other, and hope our rivals get destroyed, the SEC constantly chants their letters and takes it as a source of pride when their brethren win OCC. We absolutely don’t...
FSU is actually going to destroy whoever they play in a bowl. But the polls will lock them out of a decent ranking because they were locked out of the playoffs.
There are so many real things in the world to be upset about. This is just a football game. It’s childish to get wrapped up in this.
Leaving FSU out of the playoffs makes me so £0>d$@*~*¥<~\&:/@@!!! F****** %#,>€**%<!!! ~%**€€£+¥¥**%%#!!!! &@“}%^+++###%%^!!!!!!
I could say more but...
Not going to happen but would love to see it.
College football depends on the ACC, uses the ACC, but then treats the ACC like the red headed step child.
Yes. I was looking forward to seeing how FSU’s defense would do against Washington. Washington might have still won but it would have been a different kind of game than they are accustomed to.
Matter of fact, if Tech played most of their teams again they would beat them. Add to that the “any given Saturday” argument and Tech should clearly be in the playoffs.
To repeat what one football analyst said (Booger) this is not a beauty pageant or trying to guess who is stronger; it’s about results on the field. Throw that out and you are left with chaos.
Agree and I still think an undefeated UCF team was robbed not getting in the playoffs a few years ago. Totally subjective decision based on preconceived notions about conferences. I seem to remember they completely controlled Auburn in the bowl.
Is it just uga that sits their players down for key games or is this widespread? I suspect they will have a few more players missing due to protecting their NFL careers regardless of bowl.
