Haven’t watched it all but I’m going with a pass play  for my favorite so far... just over 8 minutes in second qtr (about 3:10 in video)...
The sweep motion left with the TE “arc” blocking the safety. The view from behind is priceless... the safety jumps outside of the TE to avoid the...
That’s kind of my feeling too. It has to be a really easy decision to keep Key. Either because he has won unquestionably and improved the program or because other possibilities are exhausted. I hope it’s the former...
Again, I hope you’re right. I hope Key gets us bowling and we move forward with him. I love the idea of it!
I also appreciate that context and if that same context is given to the new AD, Key becomes a very viable option (assuming the continued trajectory).
The bolded part I can’t possibly...
I hope Key wins and I hope you’re right. The last AD wasn’t fired for any of those other things you mentioned as I understand it. They’re certainly relevant and certainly need attention... no denying that. I just think the person coming in knows the last guy had the wrong coach. Priorities 1...
I think you’re right... and somewhat unfairly, Key has a really high bar. I think it’s going to have to be a really compelling scenario to keep him. By that, I mean the people hiring the AD pretty much say “he’s our guy.” There has been plenty of speculation on what W/L gets us to that point...
This is a very fair question and the short answer obviously is that time will tell. It’s very possible that Collins really was so bad that he brought everyone down. I find that hard to believe but wow, the evidence is piling up.
As for Key and his coaching ability....
a PERFECT coach gets the...
Whatever it was started before Key took over. The last game Smith was the primary back was WCU. He lined up in the backfield to start other games but didn’t get as many attempts as Hall.
At the time we attributed it to Collins giving up our only nice thing. :ROFLMAO:
I’d like to see it too. If it’s been said, it’s fringe people or hysterical overreactions by a few.
Most everyone I have seen says they don’t believe we can move the recruiting needle ENOUGH to have the impact we want, therefore something needs to be done schematically to compensate.
That...
Thanks
That was the original point made and the question I had is what the play clock did in that scenario. I wasn’t sure if it was a spot, wind the clock and the 25 sec play clock or if the play clock went to immediately to 40 and game started on ready for play.
Running OOB now is not the...
Hopefully 10 days isn’t enough time to start figuring it out!
We have to get the Hoos and the Hokies...
hard to believe two weeks ago I thought there was virtually no chance at back to back wins (maybe even multiple wins) and now I’m saying TIAR is a must.
This is a great point and a potentially scary thought as I peer into the future looking for boogeymen....
I have not watched a snap of UVA... didn’t Elliott like tempo at Clem? I recognize it’s a totally different bunch running it, but...
Great videos. Thanks for posting!
One thing that can’t be over emphasized is how clean the pocket is when they’re successful. When someone gets beaten up front, all bets are off. It relies on isolating the read keys and with the delayed mesh (long mesh, whatever they called it), blocks have to...
there were a couple of suspect misses there. I thought there was a pretty obvious shove in the back along the sideline when returner made a move and turned upfield.
Whatever... I am just glad the OPI leveled the playing field again! And congrats to the D for not letting them get yards to make...
I thought he was a good candidate coming out of Miss St. I felt like he would’ve been good here after CPJ.
If that was the takeaway from folks who know in Florida, think you’re on to something. I’m sure it was the same at Miss St. I guess he overcame it there with a generational talent at QB...
Thanks. I didn’t know if it also got the shortened play clock like a time out stoppage... I can’t believe I haven’t paid better attention.
I actually remember the play where Sims ran OOB in the 4th and I don’t think I saw either clock stop... I’d like to blame the broadcast but that...
