Great win! It almost sucks watching games like this though, because you know how good this team can be and it gives you flashbacks to all those games we looked like a high school team. It’s not like NC State lost this game, we won it. Granted we tried to lose it with the free throw shooting.
Yeah the heritage unis are the best. The whites would be much better if the numbers were gold. The softball team has white unis with gold numbers and they look great.
My guess, too much pressure to be diverse. If the numbers come out and we admit too many white people, someone will say the admin staff is racist. A majority a legacies are gonna be white based on Tech being mostly white 20-30 years ago.
Kind of expected. Coming off a high stakes win in the Champions Cup and having to play on the road in the cold/rain to open your championship defense is a recipe for disappointment. Become the first MLS team to win the Champions Cup and any regular season losses because of it will be worth it.
The “no staff alone with players” order after a suspension for “personnel issues” is pretty telling. We’ve had way too many probations and PR nightmares the last 10 years to keep someone on staff that can’t follow one rule.
If I heard correctly, he has one of the highest exit velocities on the team so far. So he’s crushing the ball just a bit unlucky. If he continues to keep the exit velo up, the batting average should follow.
You’re giving a lot of credit to those T-shirt degree folks out east assuming they could think of doing a deal like this. It’s obvious that Tstan thought of doing one game in the Benz and this deal grew from that.
Now, I don’t think uGA would do a deal like this today because they’ve been in...
I would say they are. Look at Kentucky. They hadn’t won jack. They got a new coach, recruited better, spent some money, and poof they were top 25 and beat Florida in the swamp.
Well TCU and Ohio St changed a game to AT&T Stadium last year and it was an 8pm ESPN game. Similar situation, so you would hope for a similar outcome. Also, I feel that having a press conference with the leaders of each group was them setting these up marquee special games, and I doubt Aurther...
I agree. If PSL owners get the option for tickets it should be very late in the process like a month before. GT fans should have every opportunity to fill it first.
I have no idea about that. I didn't ask too many questions on that because I knew I couldn't afford a $45,000 per seat PSL. The amount of people that are guaranteed seats is not that many. I would say 5,000 tops but that's a complete guess on my part.
For the record, I'm fine if we pass on Bryce, but I also think he would make us a serious WS threat this year. Especially if that keeps him from going to Philly.
I talked about this in the other thread. Only the top of the top PSL owners (think Suite and 50 yrd line) are guaranteed seats to every event and they aren't even guaranteed their exact seats to my knowledge. All other PSL owners, from highest paying to lowest, are given the option to buy seats...
Bryce is more than his average though. I can live with him hitting .260-.270 if he is dropping 30+HRs and and OBP over .400 because Harper is still going to walk a lot. Acuna, Donaldson, Freeman, Harper. That starting four is the best in baseball. Freddie instantly gets better being sandwiched...
