I think this little run at the end of the season is clouding some people's judgement. This is CBG's 13th season as a HC and he's taken his team to the NCAA tourney twice. The only reason to continue to kick this can down the road, is finances. If it's based solely on wins and losses, he...
I disagree. I'd might feel differently if this team was younger and building for next year but it's not. This team was built to get in the real tourney this year.
MBob should already have his mind made up about what he's going to do about CBG when the season ends. Getting in or possibly winning...
I really like Greensboro, but with so many different schools/fanbases involved now, I wonder if the conference has outgrown this site.
I'd like to see them find a permanent spot and I feel like somewhere in North Carolina is the best answer.
I haven't read all of the post in this thread and somebody may have already mentioned it but instead of playing the "what if Dabo was at GT" game, lets instead play the "what if PJ and our staff were at Clemson" game?? Do you think they'd be pulling in classes ranked in the top 10? 20? I'll...
I'll go with Adams and Woods since DL is always a huge need for us. Also, at least one of the WRs will get real PT.
It's hard to imagine any of the QBs or RBs playing given the amount of returners we have in the backfield.
So you were more financially invested during the Gailey years? If so, I think that speaks to more of a personal lifestyle change than the actual product on the field. I'm just gonna assume that you've never really been a CPJ fan and he'll never do anything to change your mind.
Before this past season, GT had been to a bowl game almost 20 years in a row and had just come off one of its best seasons in the last 25 years. I'd hate to see the disrespect if we actually had a bad football program.
It's not feeding my ego since I couldn't have gotten in to Tech if I had wanted to nor do I think everybody else is diploma mills. I actually believe someone's success in life, both financially and professionally, have very little to do with what college they graduated from.
I just believe...
As long as GT continues to require SAs to take real classes and has limited majors, recruiting will continue to be an uphill battle. Most of the blue chip recruits want to major in football and get to the league as quick as possible. They don't give one iota about doing actual school work...
I posted this on TOS...
We had a 10 point lead and were in control of the game with a little over 4 minutes in the game and Mitchell took over the game....and not in a good way. His decision making was like that of a true freshman that was on the court for the very first time.
I'm guessing one of his "bold" predictions from a year ago wasn't something along the lines of...GT is going to struggle mightily and miss a bowl for the first time in 19 years.
Sounds like the second thing you need to do, after kicking Russell to the curb, is sweet talk the big money guys for this money you're spending since the GTAA always seems to be barely holding their head above water financially.
