  1. Film Study - GT Defense vs BC Offense

If we could just get guys to wrap up and tackle, our D would be improved. There was multiple times Saturday where we had guys in position only to watch the ball carrier get loose.
  2. Postgame BC

It would seem to be really difficult to judge how a BYU coach will do somewhere else because BYU is such a different animal. It's harder to win with 18-22 year old boys than 22-26 year old men.
  3. Special Team Plays Vs BC

At this point Rodwell is what he is. The best solution is for the offense to make sure he doesn't have to come on the field.
  4. Postgame BC

BC had one of the best defenses in all of college football last year. Statistically, they were probably the best. They've had all off season and preseason to prepare and I guarantee they used most of that time to do so given they didn't win a single conference game last year. Our guys made...
  5. Desmond Branch ??

He is eligible but I'm not sure he played.
  6. Week 1 CFB Thread Anyone?

I posted this on another board....I don't think the Big 12 got eliminated from the CFP today, but their margin for error is razor thin now. IMO
  7. GT Vs BC 2016 = GT Vs VT 2014

I immediately thought of the 2012 VT game except we didn't allow the game tying FG this time. F U Groh!!!!
  8. Postgame BC

Ultimately time will tell about what this performance means but there was a lot of X factors in this game. First game of the season Long travel in a totally different setting and stadium Early start time BC had extra time to prepare and I'm sure they used most of the preseason Just enjoy the...
  9. Postgame BC

Compared to last year, our pass blocking looked a lot better. Sure there was a bust or 2 but overall I'm encouraged by that aspect of the offense.
  10. Postgame BC

Regarding the DL, I did like what I saw from Simmons.
  11. BC Predictions

27-17 Yeller Jackets Given the fact that it's the first game of the year, long distance travel and it's going to be an EARLY start time, I'm expecting a lot of rust for both teams.
  12. Would this work for AD

Why, for whatever reason, would it be suicude to hire another TO coach??? And I'm not saying we should, just curious why you think that.
  13. AD George O'Leary?

    No Thanks....Next
  14. Interesting game of the past - 2004 UConn

Completely agree with this. If I could describe our D under roof it would be "vanilla." I also think a portion of our fans have a soft spot for Roof, regardless of his coaching ability/stats, because he's a GT guy.
  15. Five most critical players this yr

Whoever is playing the following positions... 1a) Left Tackle 1b) Left Guard 1c) Center 1d) Right Guard 1e) Right Tackle I'm sorta joking but not really...
  16. What If...

Probably doesn't change much of anything IMO. Hewitt would've still gotten fired around the same time. The valuable assistants were already gone and that's where the wheels seemed to start coming off.
  17. CBS Ranks Power Five Football Coaches

I know we will never see it (and I like CPJ being our coach) but part of me would love to see what CPJ could do at one of the factories.
  18. Sugiura: Two Tech offensive linemen’s playing futures uncertain

We've come to think of these knee surgeries as similar to getting a tooth removed, when in fact, is it's still a major surgery and these guys are top end athletes. If the average guy doesn't fully recover from a knee surgery, it probably doesn't affect their everyday life, if an athlete doesn't...
  19. Pastner Staff Thread

Must have been a bunch of golfers... Amirite...
  20. Pastner Staff Thread

Wow....I think people are reading WAY too much into this golf thing. I'm fairly certain this statement on "golfers" will have zero impact on candidates for CJP's staff.
