I just don't understand why LSU didn't have a play called and the players lined and ready while the refs were sorting out everything.

After the down has ended.
Meaning that the player spikes the ball so the ref has to run pick it up then place it which gives the offense extra time to get the play and get to the line.
I was trying to figure that out. I'm not sure what the rule is.
Also, I thought the Auburn DE was clearly offsides on that play. Did anyone else see that?
Agree, the fact is we got whupped at the line of scrimmage for an entire half. It is what it is. Learn from it. Flush it. Take out any frustration on Miami. Good football teams don't lose 2 in a row.
