This is spot on. A bowl game every year is the absolute minimum expectation at GT, and Clemson's recent upswing isn't making that any easier (along with u[sic]ga always being a tough OOC game).
Miami's offense has only faced one good/competent defense this year. I'm not convinced they are going to light up GT. Florida still had a (much) higher yardage total than Miami despite losing.
That said, Tech will need some breaks they didn't get in the VT game to win. 31-27... flip a coin.
Johncu said it best. Sometimes the difference between a win and loss is a single play going your way. When I saw the punt for GT's last drive hit the 1 yard line and take a VT bounce, I knew it just wasn't our day.
If GT competes and doesn't self-inflict errors against Miami, I'm satisfied.
Let's avoid the ad hominem attacks guys...
In regards to clock management, I thought that was handled perfectly in the first half of the UNC game, since we managed to not only score but leave them only 30 seconds before we received the ball for the 2nd half. Being able to utilize a passing...
My main point was that even the best offenses with highly ranked talent can be stuffed by an effective defense. And even Chip Kelly's unquestioned success spurred doubt after a single loss.
IMO, it's one thing to argue that GT's offense is boring and another thing to argue that it is not...
We've heard variations of this several times this past week, but this quote wasn't about GT. It was about Oregon (when they lost to Stanford last year):
ESPN: Instant analysis: Stanford 17, Oregon 14
How about "The coach's stubbornness cost us another game."?
12 Pac Review: This loss is on...
It's tough that we always have to play Clemson, but if we can win the division with them on our schedule then we've earned it.
The good news for us is that Boston College looks improved this year and should give VPI a fight at home.
I've stayed pretty optimistic outwardly, but it is tough to watch your team losing to the same handful of teams year after year... after witnessing that VT game I know how the UNC fans feel about their recent play against GT.
In the LSU-u[sic]ga telecast, it was stated that Les Miles doesn't allow anyone touches unless they show a willingness to block when they don't have the ball. Sounds like a good policy to me.
The GT home page has a nice article up with some transition videos from the past to the present:

The clock management at the end of the first half was perfect.
If we lost the game, it wouldn't have been because of the game plan. There were a lot of places where players were in the position to make a play but couldn't get there (and some of those UNC receptions were just amazing catches...
