WRT #2, I spoke with 2 players recently and asked how they managed to keep up with practices and their grades. They both immediately said that GT gives athletes all the support they need to be successful. Further, they said the only way to fail was to not go to class. Between Management...
Their defense can blitz all they want but CPJ can also call a QB draw play that should mean lots of room to run. In past years, the draw play may have developed too slowly but that won't be the case this year.
A true FR DB with an interception and FR DE that chased the QB across the field, ran him down from behind, and got the sack. I am excited about what the younger guys are bringing so far!
I spoke with Harrell's father after the game. He said his son is at 'about 85%' back fom the ACL injury (psychologically) so we haven't seen all he has to give, yet. I think Harrell-Nealy-Marcordes would be a solid LB lineup.
I just got back last night from the game and watched the recording on ESPNN. During the game, I was worried until mid-third qtr. Watching the game, I heard the announcers say we dominated Tulane in all three phases of the game, say that the offense is hard to stop, talk about how our offense...
His memory of his days at Hawaii is likely better than yours unless you are talking about his tendency to run the ball. As the OC, here are the numbers for passing and rushing attempts per game and won-loss record:
Year........PA/G..RA/G..W/L
1987......... 26..... 48......5-7
1988...
I saw three billboards similar to this today while on I85 headed to the airport. They catch your eye, are crisp, cool, clean designs that look really good. Kudos to GT marketing!
The blocking looks really good - Allen gets his man to the ground at the right time; Earls is keeping his man occupied while we run past him. I don't recallus using the b-back toss sweep with Sims or Laskey. That play with Allen looked great!
LONGESTDAY: re: Check out the motor on PJ Davis... he never stops on a play -
Notice that he was free to turn and pursue because BJ whiffed on the block. He made a similar poor block in the other video (Byerly's midline). We leave a lot of yards on the field when players don`t execute.
I drove to the game from Buford and had no issues with traffic. Atlanta traffic can be a nightmare but it it is also used as a crutch by people looking for an excuse to stay home.
This story made me sick. If one bit of it is true, the NCAA should be launching a massive investigation into every 5 star recruit and publicize their findings. Fans and media should know that recruiting results are being bought, not earned.
I gave him my feedback. Anyone with season tickets should, too. Let your voice be heard. It certainly does no good to only complain on these message boards.
