  1. Year in review. What say you!

I actually thought that was one of the best play calls of the year by UGA's OC (Schottenheimer). If you watch that play, we were about 1/4 of a second from having a sack in the end zone for a safety. Sack the QB in that situation and the OC is a goat. That one play really shows how it's a game...
  2. Power shift in the ACC????

Clemson hasn't Clemsoned in at least 4 years. They are becoming a powerhouse. They graduated basically their entire front 7 last year and didn't miss a beat this year. They have the kind of talent that just lets them reload. By the way, guess who the last team to beat Clemson was?
  3. Military Bowl: Pitt vs Navy

When this offense doesn't work, it's a painful experience. But when it's working...it is glorious to watch. Navy has moved the ball at will all day, using all three phases and passing the ball.
  4. WTF happened...sorta rant

From StatFox: [RB] 09/17/2015 - Quaide Weimerskirch out indefinitely ( Foot ) [Backup QB] 09/08/2015 - Tim Byerly out for season ( Knee ) (!)[QB] 11/22/2015 - Justin Thomas injured last game, "?" Saturday vs. Georgia ( Head ) [RB] 11/22/2015 - Mikell Lands-Davis "?" Saturday vs. Georgia (...
  5. Two differences this year, and one about the same

With 8 defenders (or 9+ in the box), wouldn't you want to attack the CB alone on an island? Most of the time the safety/LB is in the box and out-flanked by the A-back, and it seems most defenses are playing the CB about 5-7 yards off. Seems like a simple Curl/Flat, Smash, or Slant/Flat should...
  6. Justin?

It's pretty clear that no one is going to convince you otherwise, and maybe you are just angry with the loss. I'm sure JT will concede that he should be playing better. But he's not the reason we are losing. If JT takes a few more hits like he took throwing the TD pass to Lynch (which in my...
  7. Justin?

When the OP compares Ohio State's depth and Georgia Tech's depth in the same sentence, I cannot take the rest of this comment seriously. If you really think Georgia Tech and Ohio State are on the same playing field, I don't know what to say. It's a bad year. Take heart in the upset over FSU...
  8. The 4-2-5: How Does It Work?

33jacket: It's interesting what you say about how defense, how we always line up the same way, never stunt, never blitz. Didn't every interview Ted Roof did before he came here claim that he wanted to be multiple and aggressive? I wonder what happened.
  9. Flexbone Offense Playbook Online

I *really* hope no one minds the thread necro. If that's a big no no here, let me know. But I have a few questions about the two playbooks (the PJ GSU playbook and the flexbone playbook above). Paul Johnson has traditionally based the passing game in his offense around Run and Shoot concepts...
  10. CPJ Radio Show tonight

If that's the case, shouldn't Burden make the line calls? He is the center.
  11. GT/Pitt

Mesh is one of my favorite passing concepts in football. Sets natural picks. The biggest problem is that the "corner" route is typically ran by a tight end and we'd have one of our A-Backs running it. And it's a five step drop so the QB needs time to throw. Theoretically though, it should...
  12. GT/Pitt

You sir, have your mind rite.
  13. Clemson Postgame

I can't get the quote because I'm on my phone. But we have to stop saying that "TECH scored the most points on Notre Dame, Clemson, and Duke" This isn't a good team that just isn't getting the breaks. This is a bad team. It's almost as of wit last year's success and the two cupcakes to open the...
  14. UNC Postgame

My two raincoat options were either UNC blue or UGA red. I chose the red jacket. Luckily I didn't have to put it on during the game.
  15. Clemson Game

Clemson has had a week off to prepare for this game and it looks like they took every advantage of that. Notre Dame has settled down a bit (or the rain has picked up) Clemson looks to have done what we did not...reload. Four straight ten win seasons. Can we beat them? Maybe. But I think we're...
  16. UNC Postgame

Remember from everything we heard Hunt-Days was unstoppable at DT.
  17. UNC Postgame

I don't have a voice left from screaming it out during the game. Absolutely should not have blown a 21 point lead, but I was concerned when they pulled to within 21-14 at the half and received the ball in the third. I really liked the no huddle to open the game, and it paid wonders early. Two...
  18. Notre Dame Postgame

Simple Stat that explains the game. Third down conversions: At one point Tech was 0-8 with an average of 8.5 yards per 3rd down. Tech did not win 1st and 2nd down. That's mostly up front. I really expected the veteran O-line to play better. On the edge, inexperience showed. Not for lack of...
  19. Starters

Ineligible, not suspended. He lost the scholarship and worked his way back, while participating on the scout team.
  20. Starters

I agree. Once you're playing every snap like Golden, I'd like to see someone a little more fresh returning kicks.
