I didn’t see much of the game, but the 3rd quarter TD pass by Armstrong was in the face of a 5 or 6 man rush which got very good pressure. But WR was wide open behind #3 and boom!

5 looks to me like our ceiling. I had thought UM might be a win, but they showed last night they have not folded. If we fold, we might not reach 5. It will be VERY hard to sell improvement if we finish 4-8.

Ah, well then, might as well not have any BCS Playoffs at all. Because, ya know, upsets happen and the best team might not win the national championship. Effectively, the conference championship games are (or should be) the first round of the BCS playoffs. Then whatever happens, happens.

I love this city. I love its diversity. I don't necessarily always agree with some things in the city, but I have a wide array of friends form all sides of the racial and political divide, and that at least keeps me thinking and keeps me more open-minded than I would be in an isolated echo...

Honestly, I am amongst those whom Pastner must prove himself to, so those pre-season picks don't bother me. Aside form catching fire later in the year last year, we really haven't been that much to write home about (see: NCAA Appearances). I would love to see Pastner build a mini-dynasty here...

Completely agree with that assessment. In fact, I believe the ONLY way we win this game is to out-score UVa just as UNC did. I just have only seen our offense that successful once this year.
