He first said NFL based and then clarified when asked the question. He did a good job of regurgitation of the negative recruiting done against PJ and PJ was never able to do anything about it. I hope he brings an infusion of talent onboard.
Haha, yep, we shall see. Can't stand this guy's press conference. All coach speak and platitudes. I dislike it as much as some on here hated PJ. I will root for him, but I feel no optimism about him.
Malzahn wouldn't be a good hire.
Who gives a rats ***? I still think Monken is the best coach that we might would have a shot to get. Why can you not understand this?
Not crazy about Malzahn.
I guess. The last two years haven't been great and I was highly dissappointed last year, but we won 9 in 16. Was a pretty good year. May win 8 this year, but it does feel hollow.
I just find it funny that you get bent about people not being excited about the thought of Whisenhunt, saying they don't/won't go to the games and yet you were one of the ones complaining about PJ and wanted him gone.
My stance is as follows: I think Whisenhunt is a bad fit for GT and I would...
I guess. It's not like he didn't know how to play - maybe he was just getting tired of working for the other OC and he likes Whisenhunt?. I hope Whisenhunt works out, I do. I don't think he will, but I do if it's him.
At the college level I believe that is the ceiling. Don't act like Whisenhunt has done anything in the pros without a great QB that didn't really need a great OC.
My personal opinion is that Whisenhunt is a terrible choice. If he's hired I will root for him to prove me wrong. I think Whisenhunt's ceiling for offense is solidly mediocre, but at least there shouldn't be a limit on the defense.
It ain't MIT, but depending on major it's not far off. When I graduated AE it was consistently top 5 and MIT wasn't considered the best. Some rankings have GT as the best AE in the nation.
Having said that, it doesn't matter. I am reasonably intelligent and I make a decent amount of money (far...
Most likely so, but if Tua plays unhealthy they could lose. He played like crap in the game last night. If he's out for a while then Jalen could have a bad game.
If Tua and Hurts are 100% I agree.
Maybe, maybe not. PJ isn't the only head coach who has called plays. If he's not, then what's the real advantage of hiring him? Recruiting? He better get really lucky and hire fantastic assistants. I personally think he would mold the offense to look exactly like what he knows whether he calls...
First of all, I am not impressed with Tony Elliot as a playcaller. Just not. Every time I watch them play I don't get the sense that they do anything other than rely on being supremely talented to be great on offense. Having said that I, I am a huge fan of the man he seems to be. I have no doubt...
