Yeah Mack, it's early. I remember too well the year immediately following the 1990 championship team. Sometimes things just don't fall into place as well for whatever reasons. But they sure came together very well in 2014...schedule, coaching, senior leadership, team camaraderie, injury...

JT's ability gives us lots of optimism. Plus we should have complete confidence in our coaching staff and trainers. The cupboard doesn't look quite as bleak as it did going into last season. Nevertheless, we lose some great seniors like Perkins, Laskey, Days, Mason, Smelter, Hill, Waller, Nealy...

I could not agree more! And as great as 1990 was, it continued a string of wins that occurred the previous year and featured a great recruiting class. This year's great team came out of nowhere, showed unprecedented grit and determination, and ranks as my number one all time favorite.

I recently watched some of the YouTube old film of a few "great" Tech games (50s, 60s) and was surprised by two things: (1) lots of very poor tackling, and (2) a great many missed calls by the refs. Hope that may add a little perspective.

Right you are, Jeff. For the ACC champs to take a huge licking like that...it's embarrassing for us all. All the more reason the conference should at least appreciate GA Tech for the licking it laid on MSU and Clemson for it's manhandling of OU.
