NC state was ranked 25,. we lost 28-38, Virginia was 10-17 and SC was 10-21at the end of the season UVA was 10-3 NC state turned out to not be as good but no team we lost to that year had a losing record (duke came in second in the conference)...

Groh was probably as good on defensive x's and o's as johnson was on offense but HE could not coach on saturdays. He couldn't get the plays in was indecisive and then...

    Jasper was actually second at that time he had his eyes set on someone else that would have helped him evolve the offense, they said no to that money so he went with jasper they said no agian so he went with cook who ran a similiar offense to the first guy but was much cheaper.

    Gailey and Johnson were both rather good at it. Or more sepcifically their staffs were. The issue with gaily was patrick nix wasn't that great a QB coach, the issue johnson ran into was after bohannan and monken he had a hard time finding a new QB coach as well.
