He gave basically the same amount of notice any coach gets when they are fired. he basically gave Tstan the entirety of bowl season to get ahead of other teams that were waiting until after to fire their coach AND coached the bowl game. That's not no notice but aight.
Adding because the other post would probably be to long with the inbeds. The reason I chose these two is they are at lower level schools (that we wouldn't be poaching from other p5) Probably would get an upgrade in pay and woudl see us as a potential stepping stone to bigger things which means...
Jake Moreland Western Michigan OC
He runs a spread offense that has an RPO based and looks an awful lot like what we want to do with Coach P. However he seems to have a bit more control over it.
He's currentlty the OC and tight ends coach at WMU.
Former NFL player in 2000 and 2001 for 2...
You can watch the line there was an egregious missed read on a 3rd down play if so but given hownyates had been reading up until then I dont think it was a read. It might have been an rpo though which didnt have a qb run component only a throw or give and he was reading thr backer not the end
Something i noticed is we pretty much abandoned our rocket toss in the second half. Not sure why, That was really opening up a lot of things off the play action and i think we were averaging something like 6 ypc with it. I also noticed there were several called gives that i feel should have been...
Fumble was on the last play basically not much he could do, and what else is he suppsoe to do no oen is blockign for long enough to throw down field and if even one of those short throws to gibbs went for 71 his numbers would have looked like a typical sims day.
He's not an OC directly at miami he's got a co coardiantor and TE coach title. But he's at the dolphins he might be gone with the entire staff in a year.
I thought everything was about pro optics!
Edit to add, but seriously Godsey as a QB coach can't be worse than coach P. Can you honestly say you've seen mechanical changes in the way we play the position. Yates is about the only thing i've seen but we know he was working with a third party coach...
