I haven't seen the typical uniform reveal from either Tech or UCF. Any idea on the uniforms? Since UCF is on the home sideline, I assume they are considered the home team and would thus wear a colored shirt while we would be in white shirts.
The wording is "the six highest ranked conference champions". Before the demise of the PAC12, everyone assumed this would be the P5 champions plus the highest ranked G5 champion, but it never specified that the P5 champions were guaranteed a spot. Only once in the last decade had two G5...
I started to add that the ACC would be seeded to always have an away game at an SEC school, then remembered about the first round byes for the top 4 conference champions. I think the SEC & B1G would love to eliminate that provision but they don't get to make that decision by themselves (yet)...
This also gives us a preview for what is going to happen with a 12 team playoff. I believe the current 6 conference champion + 6 at large (6+6) will get changed to 5 conference champions + 7 at large due to the dismantling of the PAC-12, and that change will happen before next year's playoff...
Now that the regular season is over, take a look at Bowling Green's season. They were 7-5 on the year but their 5 losses were to undefeated Michigan, undefeated Liberty, one loss Toledo (Mac West champion), two loss Miami-OH (MAC East champion) and 9-3 Ohio. They clearly were the 4th best team...
I'm in North Port, 2 miles from the Braves Spring Training complex at the southern end of Sarasota county. Marco Island up to Sarasota is Southwest Florida, not South Florida. There's this big area called the Everglades separating us. Also I doubt anywhere in the Florida Keys is going to...
I disagree. Beating uga after they have won 28 straight games will both put more butts in the seats and improve TV ratings. I could see it making us more attractive to one of the Florida bowls. But it has been so long since I have paid any attention to bowls, I no longer have any clue as to...
It's too bad that UL lost to Pitt. Two undefeated teams playing in the ACC Championship game would guarantee that the ACC had one of the four spots. But a one loss ACC champion has virtually no chance of getting in.
This year sorta reminds me of 1989. Anyone paying attention to Tech that year saw a talented, well coached team with a lot of potential. They also saw a team that struggled to win games early in the year, and coming off seasons of 2-9 & 3-8 had to learn how to win. By the end of the year that...
Jeff Sims hasn't played since giving away their first two games. Nebraska is 5-1 since and has a decent shot at going to the B1G championship game as the West representative.
You're right. Just double checked the tiebreaker rules on theacc.com, and they added wording for the head-to-head tiebreaker for 3 teams or more so it only applies if all tied teams played each other. Previously, the tiebreaker was for division champs and since everyone played everyone else...
On a side note, Nebraska is 5-1 since changing quarterbacks and have 4 winnable B1G games left. Jeff Sims technically didn't get benched, but hasn't returned since he left in the 4th quarter of their Colorado loss with an ankle injury (sound familiar?). They aren't scoring a bunch of points...
