  1. Conference Realignment

The whole opposing another school from your state encroaching on your territory likely died when OU and Texas joined the SEC against A&M’s objection.
  2. Conference Realignment

Sadly you are right. It was 10 years ago when we said no to B1G.
  3. Conference Realignment

Some “reports” are saying that B1G passed on them.
  4. Conference Realignment

Don’t forget we have TONS of research dollars to join in with the consortium the original B1G and Uchicago already have established. We are also an AAU school or whatever the other original criteria was.
  5. new schedule format

All true. One can hope that they are fools or circumstance change, right? lol
  6. new schedule format

GT should’ve jumped ship 10 years ago to the B1G. If the offer comes again, we would be fools to say no again.
  7. new schedule format

FSU fans are pretty vocal about it on the athletic right now. Duke fans too.
  8. CFP Odds and Format

I think they should keep it at 4 or go to 8 at most. That’s not happening though. Only the ACC wants 8. Everyone else wants 12 with some variation of auto qualifiers. Once it jumps to 12, it’s basically going to be the SEC invitational with a few teams from other P5 conferences participating in it.
  9. CFP Odds and Format

Expanding the playoffs will just give Bama, uga, Clemson, and Ohio state more room for error while also becoming the SEC invitational.
  10. Deion Sanders On The Flats?

CGC was not the only guy who wanted the job. The AD chose him after interviewing a few candidates. It’s well documented that the new head coach at UVA was very interested in the GT job.
  11. Deion Sanders On The Flats?

Deion wants a P5 job and interviewed for TCU and other low tier P5 jobs last year. Chadwell too it’s just that P5 jobs didn’t come after him as much. Before we dismiss our program, let’s at least try to be positive.
  12. Deion Sanders On The Flats?

Andy Staples at the Athletic suggested Deion as our next coach several times too. I think we should do it if Geoff doesn’t get it done this season. Deion would give us some buzz.
  13. If the ACC scraps divisions...

We have to sell tickets. Recall we played Clemson twice in Clemson to start having either Clemson or uga as home game each year.
  14. Can we stay competitive in the NIL era?

The language in the unanimous (which cannot be overstated given the court’s composition) Supreme Court opinion strongly warns against placing any restrictions on NIL compensation. Hence, the NCAA not passing any legislation
  15. Can we stay competitive in the NIL era?

Courts would immediately reject either of these proposals.
  16. If the ACC scraps divisions...

Agreed that it may become more difficult to make the championship game but as it stands we struggle to make it anyway since miami and Unc rarely play Clemson. Also, Clemson is a big draw and stadium is pretty full when they show up. The new setup at least levels the playing field a bit more if...
  17. Can we stay competitive in the NIL era?

10-20 programs competing has been the case forever. The only thing different now is the cost of doing business is going up and you have unrestricted freedom of movement for the players.
  18. Can we stay competitive in the NIL era?

I think people are freaking out because it’s out in the open now. A lot of folks still cannot believe cheating was rampant before NIL.
