Phil Steele: GT 14th Most Difficult Schedule in the Country

So much agree! I grew up in Sav Ga with numerous Irish Catholic friends who revere ND, so it is number 3 on my importance list (behind UGA and Clemson)and Cutcliffe should never again experience a win against us as penalty for his statements.

Why the 2015 Defense Will Be Improved

And I want much of the better coverage not to be needed because JHD and Kallon are in the qb's face when he throws.

Phil Steele: GT 14th Most Difficult Schedule in the Country

This can happen for numerous reasons. My friend who used to officiate the Big Ten knew the other Big Ten refs and worked alongside many of them year after year both on the field and off as they meet and talk about, for example, about how to interpret any new rules. That interaction can also...

Phil Steele: GT 14th Most Difficult Schedule in the Country

You would think that Clemson's defense will be worse but If their QB is back and healthy, they could easily be improved there. Should be another great game!

Phil Steele: GT 14th Most Difficult Schedule in the Country

Reloading to me is when a team has backups who are thought to be of the same caliber as those leaving. While it should certainly increase the chance of success , it doesn't guarantee it. I hope we are reloading at b-back and wr and upgrading on dl.

    Clemson Crossover Game

I am all for fairness and a level playing field (although it can never be perfectly achieved) and some of the ideas sound promising. However I also like having big tough games. Beating Tulane or Wake is good but not nearly as sweet as beating Gag and Clemson. I hope scheduling never becomes only...

Phil Steele: GT 14th Most Difficult Schedule in the Country

I think this is largely true but it does occur. I have a good friend who was a big ten official for years and his position was that bias does occur even at high levels but it is usually lessened as refs work their way up the "food chain". Refs who make little and live in the same neighborhood...

    THREE PEAT

Maybe a foreshadowing of the last football game this coming season?

    Love this

If both Southern and Tech won, the dialogues would be so much fun. "I thought y'all had a good shot at beating Southern but with so many 2 and 3 star recruits, they are a tough bunch." "Don't feel badly, I am sure that if your recruiting improves that soon you will be competitive again" "Don't...

    Clemson Crossover Game

My daughter is going to Clemson next year but I hate many of the fans. Typically the worst ones never went to Clemson and are identical to mutt fans but wear a different color. Since I now live in SC I want to beat them badly every year.

    Love this

Love the moral high ground they take simply saying of Tech "their tactics lacking a certain, shall we say, moral standing". Wonder what moral standing they are talking about. To help us, maybe they could put out a document on the proper moral code to follow (gtswarm could make sure the grammar...

Film Room A Backs in the Spring Game

Therefore the solution is for him to hit them before they see him coming and try to evade him :)

B Back Transfer - Patrick Skov

It was such a great win. I am sure he smiles at the thought of it. Hope Skov or Allen run the same way this year. I am smiling just thinking about it.

B Back Transfer - Patrick Skov

Laskey's effort against the mutts was beautiful. He ran angry. I hope Skov can develop that same attitude over the next few months

Adam Gotsis on Lott Award Watch List

Actually it make perfect sense. "The nominees are considered for their academic standing at their university, their community contributions, their leadership skills and their overall character." The "IMPACT" acronym is for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity. This...

B Back Transfer - Patrick Skov

Skov will be playing at a position that regularly piles up over 1000 yds a year and behind an experienced talented line with a dangerous quarterback that defenses must contend with. Even if he doesn't break off many long runs it is reasonable to expect that if he plays, he will get plenty of yards.

B Back Transfer - Patrick Skov

Skov should also provide us the ability to redshirt one more of the talented freshmen which should benefit us well into the future.

    Positions That Worry Me

My worries are injuries, turnovers and bad calls. The great thing this year is that I am not worried about any positions although I have some concerns. Certainly b-back and wr are somewhat unknowns but we have been through that before and I think both positions will turn in solid performances...

B Back Transfer - Patrick Skov

Great news! While Skov and Allen don't have b-back experience, they do greatly upgrade the maturity and game experience at the position which reduces my concern for the position.
