Actually it make perfect sense. "The nominees are considered for their academic standing at their university, their community contributions, their leadership skills and their overall character." The "IMPACT" acronym is for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity. This puts most SEC players at a disadvantage

When I looked at the list of players and their conference affiliation, I thought this same thing about the low number of $EC players.
