Neither play B back. Move on to a new topic please.
  2. CJ Leggett

So...is CJ Leggett a true B back or just a fill in until the next recruiting cycle finishes?
  3. CJ Leggett

Scroll back. I've said that at 5'9 he is going to have a hard time maintaining speed and agility while putting on the weight needed to take the punishment that a Bback does. I think he's a good a back prospect, and I hope he doesn't waste a year of development to provide depth at a position...

Not appreciated???? LOL Wow! Dude gave his opinion, and a pretty good one at that. His rationale makes pretty good sense. Not appreciated? By who???
  5. CJ Leggett

Not good. Exactly why Leggett is going to have to play out of position at Bback.
  6. CJ Leggett

Thanks for the compliment, but I don't know more than those coaches, just you. Thanks though!

If you can't tell the difference between our B backs and our A backs, then you should probably bow out of this thread gracefully.

So is CJ Leggett big enough to be a Bback? I say no. How Ray Rice can't play running back came out of that,...well that is pretty absurd.

People, the discussion is about the size of BBacks not RBs. Read the whole thread before you jump in and argue a point that everyone already agrees with.
  11. CJ Leggett

You obviously did not read this thread from the beginning. I said he is not a b-back. Where in that statement you get that I said he sucks or can't play RB is a mystery to me. I think he will be a good a back.

I must have missed the times when all those guys played Bback.
  13. CJ Leggett

Adrian Peterson played Bback in Div1aa.
  14. CJ Leggett

Bettis was just under 6'0. You are also using an exception as a rule.
  15. CJ Leggett

3 more inches means he could put on 20 pounds and not lose speed and agility. A lot of wishful thinking in this thread.
  16. CJ Leggett

He's 5'9. Can't put on much more weight and be effective. Would be surprised if he ever is a starting B back for us.
  17. An idea to think about

Saw him play this past season. The kid is legit. He pretty much ran the offense himself. He would get a play from the sideline and check into another play or adjust the routes. Incredibly accurate arm and deceptively fast. Oh and he has been running the Chad Morris system for the last 3 years.
  18. An idea to think about

Don't care if they like him. Do they respect him and believe in his system is what matters. Myself and most if my college teammates did not like our coach, but we still believed in what he was doing and stayed unified. Not so sure that our players wouldn't want to play in a different system...

I agree. The thing that worries me though is that every qb we sign feels like he can take the pounding, but there is no way to know until they do it against real competition for several weeks in a row. Remember, our qbs take shots in practice AND games. I had heard from folks in Greene County...

Ah the old "it's the same for everyone else" argument. Let me explain it this way. Faster defenses make it harder to make blocks, you are correct. Faster defenses make it harder for skill players to make their blocks and stay on their feet. (Your point is still valid). Where you point...
