I know Whitehead weights about a buck 75 but from everything we have heard he can rush the passer. We are getting little from anyone on the line on 3rd and long, especially from the DE spot. No push to collapse the pocket. Why not give the guy a shot in those obvious pass situations? Can't...
Agree with this. The kid has break away speed. I would love to see him run the Dwyer draw play on the occasional 3rd and 6+ instead of JT with a QB spy on him.
It will never happen because it's "not what we do", but wish we would pit JT in the shotgun on obvious passing downs, especially when a team is being as aggressive as Duke was last week. JT takes 7 and sometimes 9 step drops and by the time he stops his drop he has someone in his face. To me...
It still baffles me that our O Linemen are in 3 point stances instead of 2 ready to pass set on 3rd and 10. The entire stadium knows we are passing! Give the guys the best chance to be ready to block
The Summers loss is a big one in my mind. Based on what I have seen he was the one guy that was getting some separation. If you think back to last year Smelter and Waller ran a lot of comeback routes where we converted on 3rd and 7+. Those were open because the DB felt the threat of them...
It's clear that Skov is the guy at BBack. I wonder If they would consider moving M Marshall out to A-back and having Allen back up Skov and give him a breather when needed. Q could be the emergency B Back like Leggett was last year if they want to preserve the redshirt. MLD I would assume...
@DavidHaleESPN: #Clemson announces starting DT DJ Reader will step away from football for unspecified period of time. Huge blow to already thin D line.
I wonder how much weight a NFL team could put on Waller's huge frame and turn him into a dangerous TE. I would think he is a project so probably a late round selection. I guess we will find out soon if he gets invited to the combine.
This may be a crazy question, but with all of the depth we seem to have in the secondary coming back or coming in with recruiting I wonder if there is a shot Milton gets a look at A Back. Tony Hollings situation 2.0?
Sure wish he was applying for a 6th year since he missed the entire RS Soph campaign due to a shoulder injury in game 2. Best of luck to him in getting his career started in the real world!
