I don't blame Key. I LOVE the low rate of penalties esp on Off.You might have more on DEf since aggression is foremost there. You can kill yourself. and win much.
yep, there is no quick fix to the problems like you MIGHT could a bit on Offense with a RB,WR, or QB change. One obvious problem on DL is we are either too slow or too small it seems. The Lbs are struggling to find their place.Losing charlie and Eley was going to be a problem--it is.
That and...
There was a sports show on ESPN that openly touted how SMU in past bought (and cheated to the point of close down) and expects that they will buy their way into success if possible.
Well, really on every play that gains nothing--- is either bad call or execution (or both). If you call the right play then the execution should be easier since it supposedly goes to a DEF weakness.
Bottom line on King--HE ain't the problem. If the rest of the team played as his level in that game and going forward ,we would be making bowl plans now. also--He may have out-played his opposite "touted "QB.
A BIG problem may have been that Sylvain, Brooks for sure and maybe Douse and Sims were out. (Douse didn't show a tackle in stats)A huge part of the DEF makes a difference for sure..
What about Douse?did he play-did not register a tackle at all I believe. The DEF without Brooks,Sims ,Sylvain and Douse is not much of a DEF. BIG problem.
Did Douse and Sims even play and did Brooks go out with an injury ? with 1 tackle.Without arguably the 3 best DEF players No wonder the DEF --er, suffered -to be kind. And no wonder we didn't announce a depth chart..
Really the game was very even overall. The differences were 1- the poor tackling on our part 2- the QB fumble on the missed block 3-the missed gimme FG. also-I wonder what Key and team learned from the flat 2nd half. -- or-Makes one wonder if they are not in good enough shape? We will look...
yep, --I think you only have a 2 choices in OFF game plan-- 1- have an off line that can block so you basically run the ball with a few passes to scare them. 2- have a very accurate passer who can pick apart a DEF with quick throws with a few runs thrown in . of course it would help to...
