I didn't see the game but reading about gave me this-
I'm really.happy that the 2 best players last night were NEW guys.
I was relieved that our 2 best bigs did not play as rebounding was to be a weakness probably this yr.
I'm a bit surprised that our coaches didn't forsee their press and...
Franklin had the most impressive hi school tape of any OFF Tech lineman in the last 4 yrs that saw..I'm surprised he hasn't shown out before now.
King is a god-send.I knew he had potential when I saw he STARTED vs Ala when at T-AM.That and when he beat out Pyron (who could be a star) for the job.
The LB loss with White at DE this yr has been HUGE.There have been no one stepping up except maybe Kennard. So--we are nowhere near even the below -avg DEF from last yr.The weak tackling at the first of yr was a indicator of the coaching approach to me..Like someone said--could we do any worse...
Wonderful review.I too love the night -time atmosphere. The loudest I can ever remember was vs VaTech in '14? It was a chilling sound that nite..--and I've been watching for 60 yrs.
That RPO play with King KEEPING the ball for 50 yds was SWEET.That is NOT easy at all riding with that ball so long with the RB before pulling it out. He is a talented QB.Then see the last TD.--oh.my o,my
Lots of great ones but the 2 best-
1. 2008 at uga-coming back from 20 down
2. 2014 team at Orange Bowl--a glorious pleasant night ESPECIALLY after FREEZING there vs Iowa at OB before and getting kicked by them.
Its easy to try a pick and role play with a big man but it seems if the BM can't shoot outside10 ft, the def will just drop off and clutter the lane.Do we have a BM that can do this now?
I disagree on RBs -if you don't have a big power back you are lacking on 3rd down and RedZ plays. We have trouble in both.Would rather have the better OL but a big RB can help.
