  1. 2023 Fall Practice Notes

King has played at #1 and been replaced before.Maybe he's a hot and cold type QB.
  2. Conference Realignment

Yep, like watching a train wreck in slo-motion. We could be in the Southern conf in 5 yrs.
  3. 2023 Fall Practice Notes

I feel better about this group as a whole --but it could be that none cut the mustard esp if the Oline caves.
  4. FAN DAY SET FOR AUGUST 5

Reminds me that of 1978 when I took a great picture (I can't find now)of my 8 yr old daughter with Kent Hill at 6-5,270 (later All-pro with Rams) in full uni.
  5. 2023 Fall Practice Notes

I agree but it may not that we can get the quantity --we can always sign a 300 lb guy that verbaled to NC Central probably. Its the RIGHT quality to succeed thats needed..--Mike Maye was a 2nd unit All-State in Ala for the best team in state and almost never played here. .hmmmm.

  8. Alright mannnn what's your best memory of Georgia Tech football?

The aubie game at home was epic -I LOVED seeing the tiggers filing out of the new uppper deck in droves in whole 4th qtr
  9. Alright mannnn what's your best memory of Georgia Tech football?

After 60 yrs there were many highlights-the top few -the 62' Bama game on radio -the '90 uva game comeback- on TV -the ''91 Natty in Citrus Bowl as I was there -the uga win up there with Butker on tv -the loudest I think I ever heard the stadium was vs VT in '09 at night
  10. Yet another CPJ vs CGC thread

Key also actually WON games last yr so the expectation is higher now -BUTBUT-he lost a LOT of key guys.He has brought in some talent but putting them (and it) all together is a HUGE task. For him to win 6 would be a LONG shot to me..If he has key injuries--like Douse, ,Brooks, Franklin, Smith...
  11. Pre Fall: Projected Depth Chart

Lasr yr I loved his desire to compete and his effort to win and now his new strength , but we have got to keep that young man healthy and standing. So he will need to pick his battles with 235 lb LBs. lol
  12. Pre Fall: Projected Depth Chart

I'm a bit concerned at RB.Who is the 3rd down and 2 yds grunt in a bull rush.Look at the weights of our guys. .The LB K Efford was a bull at RB in hi school.Could help if given chance..
  13. Pre Fall: Projected Depth Chart

Another consideration on WRs is whether they can block.Smaller WRs are at a disadvantage in that department. So you have speed/quickness but less size. a play-off.
  14. Toughness... I expect to hear it often.

Yep, mental toughness is the key for QBs.Every team (but especially a struggling team like GT) is going to have a CONSTANT run of tough situations in games on Off. If the QB can't handle most of those to the best of his ability , he is not ANY help in winning..
  15. Miscellaneous, GT Football News

I pegged this guy as a keeper from my first look at this hi school tape. Will be All-Accc.
  16. Pre Fall: Projected Depth Chart

I would love to see Tatum startbut would not be surprised if transfers win out.
  17. Pre Fall: Projected Depth Chart

I really wish that Scaglione could not beat out one of the guards as he has only one yr,but my guess he is is good enough to do that. We can talk about the QBs,RBs,WRs all we want but if the OL doesn't meld/produce ,they won't either.
  18. Miscellaneous, GT Football News

yep, the first time I saw him at practice with no shirt as Fr he was scary--looked like a chiseled stature of GRANITE. That with speed made him special.
