I would love to see it happen. One of my best friends is Jim Carlen's (former coach under Dodd and later the head coach Texas tech and Carolina) son and he (Jamie) loves the Tech offense although I doubt he would root for Tech.
Would love for us to test our luck with some 5 stars starting with someone from Savannah. No one is a sure bet. I am always amazed to see so many pros that come from little known colleges.
Hard not to be excited about the talent in our backfield. Whoever wins the starting position this year may still be young but they they will be skilled and have another year of experience. I am ready for spring ball so I can become overly optimistic for next year.
So true. I still remember back in the 80s when it came out that NC State basketball recruit Chris Washburn, scored 470 on the SAT and was still admitted to school. His character issues cost him and Coach Valvano in the end but it is hard to blame the coaches who recruit kids of high...
This makes perfect sense to me. The family environment in which a student is nurtured has a huge impact on their character . Additionally if the family of the student athlete is supportive of the school it should have a positive impact on retention .
Freeman seems to me to be a better fit at LB than DE and I felt that he might be switched to LB once we had a more prototypical DE but my expertise is close to zero.
Outstanding! I have been a Tech fan from childhood but did not attend Tech. Looking at Tech from a distance, it has always been easy to see that Tech is unique and therefore not for everyone. Young men like this one are simply not typical college students. The athletes at Tech disproportionally...
The record this year has been horrible disappointment for me but as I worked on business year-end reviews, I had to smile when I thought about how glad I am that many of you on this board will not be writing my year-end review. If my year started like the TECH team losing a huge amount of talent...
All I could think of was Shaq till I thought of all the a-back injuries we have had. If the a-back injuries are a given, maybe having another experienced a-back like Perkins would be more valuable.
Good Point. That would be interesting to know however I'll bet that for many players the finals for the "Softball 201-underhanded pitching concepts" class are as difficult for them as the MATH 2551 Multivariable Calculus class is for some Tech students :).
