Could another factor be the time of year that the two teams play? Over the course of a season many injuries occur and players just get banged up. Having more depth allows you to spread the nagging injuries out and where season ending injuries occur, having a deeper bench has got to help.

Guess I am overly optimistic as usual but I think we will be exceptionally strong up the middle and that both Burden and Devine can be all-ACC. If that happens we should certainly have a fun year.
