Has there ever been a season like this?

Thanks, but I am not sure how this statement relates to what I wrote.

Has there ever been a season like this?

Probably the most troubling, or damning aspect to GT's CFB record over the last 5 years (with 2014 being a HUGE exception) is that we have found ways to lose close competitive contests far more than we have "pulled them out of the fire", so to speak. I am of the mindset that if you are talented...

    Time for a coaching Change

I have just now gotten back to my computer after a day's work to read this thread, that I suspected surely would exist, despite not being Nostradamus. Like everybody, I am frustrated by the loss. It was ANOTHER contest we had a perfectly good chance to win, but failed to do so. I hear phrases...

Did Bobinski say we would reject a 5-7 bowl bid?

Why play in a bowl game?....... Why live? We are only gonna die anyway right? What is the point? You play the game because it is another chance to play. There are only so many chances in one's life to do so. End of story. If you don't like to play, you shouldn't be playing. I would give anything...

How does this next period rate

Well, look at it this way: despite the total cluster that our offense has been this year, we are still scoring points, not at the same level, mind you, but scoring. Now look at other programs who are having down years offensively.

    VT Game Predictions

Conventional wisdom says this will be a low scoring game. One solid defense going against a good offense misfiring on 3 of 8 cylinders, with one putrid offense going against a thinned out defense. So, while everybody is expecting a sub 24 point performance on both sides, I am going...

    Radio show

I was there. My jaw hit my chest and then I covered my mouth. Brandon smiled and had a shocked look at the same time. Priceless. No filter at all. I thought I was watching HBO for a minute!

Michael Summers Has Left the Team

I wish the kid luck. Is he quitting on the team? Yes, BUT, it is way better than faking it for 4 more games. Personally, I respect a person more for walking away than hanging around and just going through the motions. If you are not ALL IN then you should leave. At least he is being honest with...

Couple of observations during a GT-less Saturday

Without a doubt those QBR numbers are meaningful. However, if I had to guess, I would bet those games with higher QBR numbers happened when we were running the football well. Most likely the lower QBR numbers happened when we HAD to throw a lot because we weren't able to run well. I am too lazy...

    Ted Roof

Yup. If you have any doubts about the value of a sturdy DL, que up the Bama, LSU game again. Having 4 guys across who can all control their adversary enough to play a solid 2 gap is a difference maker.

Film Study - Offense vs UVA

Yeah. I have no idea about the root cause of it all. I really don't.

Film Study - Offense vs UVA

I hope you are not trying to put words in my mouth. I never mentioned anything like that.

Film Study - Offense vs UVA

Personally, I don't think it has to do with our ability to block. Most of these guys have already proven themselves before in that regard. "Disoriented" was a good choice of words. Leaving a player unblocked is different than not being able to block him. BTW I am speaking of the OL now. On the...

    Wild happenings at UGA

UGAg has scored a total of 53 points over the last 4 contests combined, with 31 coming against UT. Some of those were not scored by the offense, I believe. They haven't scored a TD in 9 QTRs of play. Defense is not their problem. What would our reaction be if those were GT's offensive numbers...

would you take richt over cpj?

For me the answer is simple because you wouldn't even need to include a name for the hypothetical coach in question. I wouldn't prefer ANY coach to CPJ, if the truth be told. The fact that Richt has leg humper blood in him now makes it only that much more resounding a rejection.

Film Study - Offense vs UVA

I really don't know what to do here. I watched the entire offensive game on DVR over the course of 3 different sittings. To be truthful, I don't feel like spending an hour describing all that went wrong. It is just too frustrating. It is no surprise we continue to have trouble blocking, along...

    More bad news

Whatever. Talk about it when we actually know something. This is a waste of time. We have had enough bad luck to ponder without having to let my imagination run wild.

    Bend but dont break

Last year we iced opposing offenses on the sideline. This year our offense is getting iced. Part of it is their own fault for not sustaining drives, but the effect is still there. We need to do everything possible to keep our offense on the field more. If that means more agressive risky play by...

    one guy?

I agree, Smelter. Nobody could cover him one on one. That changes the whole equation. He wasn't "stretch the field" fast, but he could separate from anybody coming out of breaks. He won contested balls and he CAME BACK for the football. His blocking was as good as anybody including BeyBey. I...

Two differences this year, and one about the same

I have been wanting to say this for a while now 'ballin but I held off. You give me the confidence. Think about it this way: the entire offensive scheme we run forces DCs to pull the defense forward in order to negate the man (or two man) advantge the option creates. A short passing game, on the...
