We never try to intentional hurt an opposing player, but we do try to punish them. In '14, the D made vicious hits on Watson when he ran. I want to see that kind of intensity again on Thursday.

I agree. But you just know that if GT beats Klimpsun the football gods will demand sacrifice and make them come out flat for Miami. But, we did beat Miami in 2014 to start out 5-0, so... This talk about what we are as a fan base or why we're like that makes me want to stick a fork in my eye...

I watched the game on ESPN3 replay yesterday evening, and I thankfully didn't see the one. They cut most of the commercials out.

I really think GT is about as ready as can be expected after last year. JT is looking really good. Lots of weapons on O. Some stars on D are emerging. I think this team has some heart & soul. A few frosh are contributing, not pressed to duty from injuries, but because they're really good...

If they don't have a good pass rush coupled with the vastly improved pass-pro we've seen from the O-line so far, Sticky Ricky, Stewart, and Searcy could have a big day. JT looks great throwing the rock this season.

@Ibeeballin - As one of the board's defensive gurus, did anything stand out to you between week 1 & 2, or are the offense schemes between the two opponents too different?

That was after game 7, UNC, and GT had just lost 2 IIR to be 5-2. The result was the PITT 1 QTR fumble-fest the following week.

Proud of the team and the win. They did what had to be done when it counted. Out of sync O not surprising in an opener against a stout D. Lots to be optimistic about, and some work is needed, but a good character & confidence building win!

I will never again get sucked into the preseason jack-assery of stating how good a team will be unless the whole damn team is returning. No one predicted GT would lose 9 games and that Iowa would lose 0. I'm back to stating, "pass the popcorn" and watching for fun and enjoying the...
