    ACC v Ga Tech

The Vols have the longest bye of all before playing GT. We'll see how well that works out for them. Kentucky had the second longest bye other than Boston College. So apparently it matters lots more if they actually WIN after the bye week time before playing GT.

    ACC v Ga Tech

But here's what bolsters the position of CPJ: Did anyone even care about bye weeks under CCG? Nope! However, now with CPJ's spread option offense that ANNOYS everyone in the ACC who has to match up against GT, they mollify them with an open date before they play the Yellow Jackets. That is...

    WATCH OUT FOR UGA

That's as close as they'll ever get to playing inside the Georgia Dome for an SEC Championship. How sad would it look for a team with Top 5 recruiting classes never to step foot inside the new dome? I say let Chik fil A throw them a "pity bone."

Any big play WR's for 2017?

Calvin Johnson has another year of eligibility. There's a reason he's seen around GT practices talking with CPJ.

    2017 acc predictions

What is MORE important than Athlon's early predictions is the reality of the past thirty (30) days: Miami had their QB Brad Kayaa and RB declare early for the NFL Draft; The Tar Heels had their QB Trabibski and RB Elijah Woods declare early for the NFL Draft; and VT had their QB and Tall WR...

Here's the early line for the GT-Tennessee game

Makes sense as that's: "SEC Speed on Artificial Turf!"

77% of the starters for NFL Championships weren't 4 or 5 Stars

Oops! Good catch. I'm still upset with Tre for leaving us to go to FSU after they offered him a pity scholarship. Turned out to be an All American for them. Apparently the GT Coaching Staff actually knows what they are doing when it comes to recruiting. You Go Shaq!

77% of the starters for NFL Championships weren't 4 or 5 Stars

All I know is that a two (2) Star kid that Tennessee and Vanderbilt DIDN'T want who is going to the Super Bowl after playing in a High School Offense for four (4) years that only teaches offensive linemen cut blocking: Congratulations TRE MASON on being the starting RG on the New England...

    Transfers???

While everyone is focused on the players who transferred and hypothesizing as to why they left, only they will ever know for sure and that's okay. I wish them well and hope they don't look back years later and regret leaving. Which is why I want to congratulate the ultimate team player who...

    23 wins

While you are probably referencing the loss to the Tar Heels after being up 21 points, CPJ hasn't had anything close to that three game stretch of Chan's in 2006. But I do remember some pretty Memorable comeback wins over the Mutts under CPJ. Losses that the Mutts will NEVER FORGET!

77% of the starters for NFL Championships weren't 4 or 5 Stars

"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." Despite all of the top recruiting classes the Mutts have had since CPJ has been coaching at GT, we have won several COFH and been competitive in the rest. What happened to that UGA "Dream Team" Recruiting Class from a few years ago? No...

    23 wins

But here is the Best Season for Chan at 9 and 5, that in my opinion was worse than the CPJ 3 and 9 2015 season: Chan starts out with a loss to open the season to Notre Dame 14 to 10, and the only other loss being 31 to 7 at Clemson. Then the train goes off the rails with the absolute WORST...

    Next years QB

Not only did MJ win in Blacksburg in his first start, but did so with a true frosh at Center making his first start; another true frosh at left guard; another true frosh at left tackle; and NO DEDRICK MILLS at B-Back. Also, don't forget that VT was going to clinch the Coastal with a win against...

The Chicago Cubs are looking to host a Bowl Game in Wrigley Field

If you like Deep Dish Pizza then this is the town to be in for that treat. Cold or not Chicago is a great city and going to Wrigley Field for any occasion is an experience. Maybe they will sell tickets to those grandstands that sit atop the roof of several apartment complexes outside the stadium.

    Hunter Renfro for Clemson

Here is an interesting factoid: In TWO National Championship Games against BAMA he has caught 4 TD's. All against a 5 Stars secondary. NOBODY in the SEC has done that, let alone a 2 Stars kid. He is literally worth his weight in Gold by doubling his Stars in the form of TD's! Probably a...

    Off Season Banter

We would have gone for 2 points after every TD the last 4 years if CPJ hadn't promised Butker during his recruitment that he would let him rewrite the GT scoring records.

    TaxSlayer Bowl Predictions

What I will say is this team has been playing very well as of late and I expect that to continue against Kentucky. With Mills and Allen at B-Back that should produce at least 120 yards up the gut. That translates into a GT win and I could give a hoot about the final score as long as GT has 1...

What does a bowl win mean?

    ACC Bowl Action

But for a blocked FG the SEC would be 0 and 2 and off to a bad start despite: "That SEC Speed!" Apparently the MAC "Miami" wasn't impressed by those "other Bulldogs."

    Genuine Questions!

The point CPJ was making about kids not waiting their turn to play is something that has accelerated today with the world of social media and "Stars Recruiting" that has folks who have no clue about football telling players they CAN'T get to the NFL by going to play at GT. Putting aside the...
