It would count as 2 which would be huge. Also, road wins are worth 2x points for RPI so a road win would be a big boost to RPI. 2 road wins would lock us in I believe.
Lots of bubble teams lost yesterday. Tenn, Clemson, Pitt, K St, TCU, Bama, NW, Marquette. If we can pull off the road win tonight we are right back on the cuff.
The other thing people are missing, especially with UA is they only have one other acc team and ND. The acc is becoming the premier athletic conference and they want to get another acc team on board.
There was talk of that but when MBob left the process started over with Stansbury. I guess there's still a chance but unlikely. It would have to happen in next couple of months for 2017 football to change.
After last night I think Cuse is locked in. I feel like Clemson and Pitt are almost officially out but it's not over. We need to cheer against Wake. I firmly believe the acc will get 10 teams in. Right now it's a GT/Wake battle just ahead of Clemson and Pitt. If and it's s big if, we can win on...
So after listening to Pastner today on multiple radio shows, I am taking his approach. Last night's loss means nothing to our chances, we HAVE to win at ND or Syracuse. We do that and win a game or 2 in ACC we are in.
If we can pull out either road game and beat Pitt at home we will be right on the bubble. As Lunardi says a road win is gold this time of year. Hell let's just win all 3 or make a deep run in acc and get in. I was down this morning but keeping the faith. This team will fight like crazy.
After sleeping on it I still feel just as bad as after the game. So close. I know we are playing with house money but to make the dance would have been such a story and these kids play so hard they deserve it. I hate it for them. Our only chance is to win 2 of 3 and 1 or 2 in acc. Just don't see...
Guys were definitely tired. Missed free throws showed, all short. Lammers should have sat more, he looked dead out there. Unfortunately this loss probably ends our chances. Don't see us finishing better than 1-2.
Don't forget UA just signed MLB to a huge apparel deal, also Leonard Fournette, and is bidding on some big soccer teams too. Internally they must not be as worried as some outsiders.
UA is paying Wisconsin over 9 mil per year, South Carolina over 7 mil per year, and even Northwestern over 3 mil per year. Adidas is paying Texas A&M and Miami over 7 mil per year and NC State over 6.5 per year. Yes the $10 mil per year number is pie in the sky thinking but to think we would...
