that is correct. It is a free year for Whitt and he gets the weight room and practice for "free". He has a great handle but needs to get stronger and work on his shot.
Yep - Wake is a strong consensus pick for the bottom team in the ACC. Especially when by far their best player Sarr transfered to KY. The view for them is summarized below from SI
Steve Forbes arrives after a great run at East Tennessee State, but this is going to take a while. Danny Manning...
Both of those teams are limited bytalented but freshman guards. and in this weird year I assume they are both affected by the same practice issues we had. Even if they had somewhat more contact/full practice in the fall they still lost Summer. I expect both to be better by year end
Carolina beats ND for their first win. Overcomes 25 by Lazewski (7 for 11 from 3) by outrebounding ND 48 to 27. It was volleyball for real. Gives a little more credit to Usher and Moses for keeping things reasonably close with UNC on the boards.
Yea, I don't think there is much doubt that reducing turnovers is driving PT off the bench. I remember Usher sitting when he had a game with multiple turnovers early on and didn't get back much at all. After the first 2 debacles it is hard to argue with that focus. One of the things I am...
That was the game. They had a chance to make us pay for Usher at the bottom of the zone and couldn't do it. Usher took reasonable shots and made most of them. When he tried to go all the way to the rim they reminded him that wasn't a good idea.
I am floored we beat UNC on points in the paint and points off the break. That is their bread and butter - I will give them the 4 point edge they had on second chance points.
This was all about our senior/Jr guards giving their freshman guards a welcome to the ACC. Again surprised their...
Listening to the UNC pre game show and their commentary is all about how UNC has to make GT pay for playing small. Whoever's style can be imposed on the other wins - our outside shooting/movement or their pounding the paint.
Roy won't have to change the way they play to go after Moses - they will do that naturally by the way they play. They will pound the paint with their bigs all game long. If we play Moses on the wing of the zone then we will have Usher trying to guard a 6'10"+ man child right by the rim getting...

Good read - Some good basic stats about where they are.
This is going to be a really interesting matchups of seemingly polar opposite teams
GT is a senior laden team while outside of...
this is the first time since the 1970s, that no team in the ACC is in the top 15. If ever there is a chance to break through and get some solid ACC wins, this would seem to be the year for a senior laden team.
We got 26 points off of turnovers and 30 off fast breaks. The difference over DS's totals in those 2 categories almost exactly equals the difference. I watched the second half when we pulled away and it was based on turnovers from the zone and breakouts to the basket / open shot. It was good...
I was hoping this year's team would be a more explosive offensive team, but we seem to be trying to execute basically the same strategy as last year - be very good defensively and be just efficient enough offensively (low turnovers, etc.) to be able to find ways to win reasonably close...
