When I read the article originally I thought the author lacked competence. After thinking about it I believe the author is malicious. The spin is intentionally dishonest.
The "one winning record" thing is serious cherry-picking. Hewitt was 7-9, 8-8, or 9-7 in 8 of his 11 seasons. I am not trying to say that is great but it is a much more accurate picture of his era. GT was a .500 team in conference +/- 1 in most of his seasons.
