    I haven't been on here to reply but that link should clarify it. Full Mangino is personal humiliation of players on a large scale. One thing I remember from that story is some message board people can't tell the difference between intentional humiliation and being a little mean.

    Which brings us full circle to why the phrase "student-athlete" was coined by the NCAA in the first place. They thought the schools would be responsible for workman's comp if deemed to work for the school in any way. Now add in health insurance and you'd have huge sums of money.

    Maybe I am missing something but I can't think of a better reason to fire a coach. If not one player can trust the coach how could anyone in the sport ever succeed? This is what happened with Bill Lewis, by the way.
