Id say yes. Although they blacked out a few of the ACCT games, I’ve watched a ton of college baseball games this year in the background. Also good for some international soccer games too. I have a smaller tv mounted next to my main one that generally always has something from ESPN+ on mute...
This game showed me how insanely deep our lineup is. From about the 7th inning on it seemed like every AB we desperately needed a runner or a hit w/ RISP and you’d expect some easy outs for a few of those ABs. And every time we kept trotting guys out that I felt reasonably confident could come...
Think it was the right play tho. He threw 130 pitches against us on Thursday. Would’ve been borderline negligent to turn around on 4 days rest to start him on Tuesday when both their games are must wins.
Cringe to see NCSU ahead of us in the pecking order when we have a better ACC record against a tougher schedule and swept them on the road. Although this looks heavily geography-based.
Also if Pitt back doors into hosting as a 3 seed with ODU, UConn, and Northeastern I’m gonna lose my ****.
Yeah I have a similar sentiment. Would’ve been a lot easier for us if Clemson had won, but UL clearly deserved it. Clemson has a few hitters but looked bad all over the field today.
We should be throwing Hurter on Thursday against Clemson with a normal week’s rest. If we play this right and he...
Clemson defense is terrible. This inning:
- Error from 2B who throws it 8 feet wide of 1st.
- Bunt single thats not even close enough to warrant a throw.
- 3 run homer.
- Single. Pitcher sniffs out a SB attempt with a pitchout to 1st and the 1B decides not to throw to 2nd to catch the guy...
Clemson brought in their Friday starter. And he promptly gave up 2 HRs in the 3rd. So their Fri/Sat guys are both burned for tomorrow. Basically prefect scenario for our purposes.
Also Clemson just jacked another one. 8-6. Tech fans smiling the hardest with every one of them.
Clemson pitcher racking up a pitch count early. Love that. Looks like Louisville is treating the game as a staff day. So they’ll probably have their full staff (or close to it) against us on Thursday. With that in mind I think we should be rooting for Clemson to win a barn-burner.
Id rather them come out of that pool. Their pitching depth is very low right now and I can’t imagine they’d have much left to throw in a 4th game on Sunday. They were already throwing a staff day in G3 last weekend after Love went a full 9 in G1.
Just checked their board and theyre saying...
The standings of the pool. As the top seed in the pool we only need to beat the winner of the UL/Clemson game to advance to the semis. That might be the disconnect here.
