K didn't play this game until Capel got there. I am pretty sure of that. Kentucky has been playing this game since at least the '50s. Cal knew what he was getting into. Memphis too for that matter, albeit at a smaller scale.

It is easy to see that we should have changed the offense in the preseason. I was telling anyone who would listen that we'd change the offense before the season started. Pastner does some good things and he does some odd ones. Inertia gets all of us sometimes.

I have convinced myself that K is completely out of the loop on any details. He let others take care of that and I'd bet he didn't want to know. I don't think they were in that game pre-Capel. There was no bidding for Scheyer.

They will be punished in some way and there will be people who claim it is a slap on the wrist because it fits their narrative. That is one reason people hate the NCAA. They perceive they are tough on them and easy on everyone else. Well that and the NCAA does suck.

Looking back, the Bzdelik hire completely crushed Wake's program more than any other I can remember. Bob Wade at Maryland was a cause rather than an effect.

It was pretty obvious what happened when Capel arrived. I don't really follow recruiting but even I noticed. As I've said for years, free doesn't win a bidding war. It is kind of obvious which guys are in a bidding war.
